A day or two ago, I got the nerve to open some scrapbooks that I hadn't opened in years, and I found things I forgot I kept. Some made me unbearably sad, some made me angry, and some were a little lighter. If you don't want to see them, I understand, but I thought I wanted to share them with you, my new Freddie family.

Thanks so much for sharing these! I love reading them. & stuff like that. Do share more. Don't worry about them being sad. I had to reach for a hanky but I've done that reading plenty of other stuff on him. Thanks again for posting these! :) It's good to see our Freddie family growing... :)

Thanks, Cheryl! I've got some more in the next thread, too, including a really interesting AP article with interviews from some people who knew Freddie in Washington Heights.

The next two days will be kind of busy, but I have more I want to post here just as soon as I have the chance, including stuff from some 1970's movie/gossip magazines.

I'm glad you're enjoying these.

Thank you Jerilynn. I never tire of hearing about anything Freddie. Even if I have to see those photos and read the old newspaper articles. I was so young when he died and I was one of the people who prayed for Freddie to not die. But, he did. We will always love him and remember him for his comedic genius and good looks.

I am always grateful for fans sharing anything they have on Freddie. I wanted to make one comment. I noticed in the one article it mentions that Kathy was a native of NC. Actually she is a native of my state, WV. I understand she moved around a lot, tho.

Thanks, Luckymama -- I didn't remember where she came from, and I wouldn't want to inadvertently spread any false info.

Oh honey, don't worry about that. I have a ton of print on Freddie that I have been collecting on eBay and I have found a lot of mis-information on quite a few articles. It would be nice for journalists to do better research before printing 'facts'!

I enjoy reading the articles even if they're not accurate. I enjoy reading anything on him... :)
