In 1966,Columbia Pictures did a pre-Facts Of Life film called "The Trouble With Angels" starring Hayley Mills,June Harding and Rosalind Russell. In 1978,NBC did a spin-off of their popular sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes",called "The Facts Of Life". The cast of the series are: Charlotte Rae as Edna Garrett,Lisa Whelchel as the talented Blair Warner,Kim Fields as Dorothy "Tootie" Ramsey,
Mindy Cohn as the plump Natalie Green,and some other cast members too good to mention.

In their 2nd season,a new cast menber was added to "The Facts Of Life"gang:Nancy McKeon
as the motorcycle riding tough girl Jo.

Lisa's line "I just had one of my brilliant ideas!" was her trademark for Blair to say.Similar to Hayley's "I got the most scathingly,brilliant idea!" in "The Trouble With Angels",Blair wanted to say something that meant style and greatness. NBC did some
"Facts Of Life" movies:"The Facts Of Life Go To Paris" and "The Facts Of Life Go Down Under". George Clooney and Mackenzie Astin was also added on the show,but Charlotte Rae couldn't keep on playing Edna Garrett,so Cloris Leachman played Beverly Stickle,Mrs.Garrett's sister.

After a 9-year run on NBC,"The Facts Of Life" was cancelled.

was it really cancelled? FOL was still hovering around the 30's in the final season. I thought they decided it was time to end. Like people say Cosby and Cheers were "cancelled" too, and I thought Bill Cosby and Ted Danson had decided they'd done it enough.
