Did anyone else think that these two were having an affair? It seems like the young stud and the lonely housewife were a little too close for comfort.

No way, I mean her and "Mr. C" were very happy. That's why it's called "Happy Days"! And also Fonzie was going out with Ashley.

I just think they were fond of each other. Mrs. C was the mother Fonzie never had. But in a blooper, Fonzie & Mrs. C were all over each other. It was quite funny.

It was quite funny. if you look at the subtext here, the Fonz was abandoned by his mother at a very young age, and was "adopted" by the Cunninghams, so I would say that YES, Fonzie loves Mrs C - as a son would love his mother, perhaps even moreso because he found her later in life....

that blooper was hilarious !!! - but it was just to mess with the rest of the cast.....

Funny you should mention that. There was an episode where Fonzie and Marion were practicing for a dance contest Howard, Richie and Joanie assumed that Fonzie was having an affair with Marion.

To answer your question simply. They were, infact, not having an affair. Marion was like a mother to him. Like Lucas and Animalcrackers said.

I hope this answered your question. :)

Mrs. C was probably hot for Fonzie, but he had to much respect for Mr. C to let it go anywhere.
