what the hell is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you should have posted this in the same thread as the last one - it is the same problem isnt it? - unless you're upset about all those rather large Home Depot ads taking over your pc....

I understand that you have no microphone, but if you dont tell the software that the microphone is muted, it will think that it is there...

OK - [list=1] Open the Control Panel and open the "Sounds and Audio Devices"
click on the "Audio" tab on the "Sounds and Audio Devices properties" page,
under "Sound Recording" click on the Volume button, this will open the Recording Control window, set the volume slider to zero, and if the Select box is checked, check the box for "Line In" instead, if you cant see a control for Mic, you'll need to go to the Options>Properties Menu and check the box to display it
(you could also just click the "Mute All" if you dont plan on capturing any audio through your external soundcard connections)
close the Control Panel and all other open windows, try a page you have seen the problem occur on, if it's still happpening then continue these steps from here
....
right click on a blank area on the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen
go to Toolbars at the top of the context menu and make sure the Language Bar is checked - click on it if it isnt
you should now have the Language Bar visible on the Taskbar - it has a small microphone and a few other icons
right-click anywhere over the icons and click on Settings... on the context menu
this should open the "Text Services and Input Languages" page - under "installed services" highlight the "Speech Recognition" and click on the "Remove" button, then click on the "OK"
right click on the Language Bar again if it's still there and click on "Close the Language Bar"

Is my computer posessed?? (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85902)

this isn't something that is happening on just one site, it is happening randomly in active text boxes on webpages, so the only other things I can think of would be if your keyboard had a stuck key - but then it would be just the same keys you'd see in there. It wouldn't hurt to try switch keyboards or blow it out with canned air.... but it doesn't seem the most likely answer here.

I suppose its conceivable that it is a virus or something, but it isnt acting like any virus I've ever heard of - it is acting EXACTLY like the Speech to text is running on its own, so the best thing to do is turn it off and see if anything changes.
