View Full Version : What Do You Collect?
Rickenbacker 10-13-2003, 04:58 PM I collect movie ticket stubs. Been doing so since around '86. The oldest one I've got is from that bad Ally Sheedy film "Short Circuit". Just added "Kill Bill" to the collection yesterday. I also try to write the name(s) of who I saw it with. They're like little time capsules!
Anyone else collect those or other off-the-wall items?

I do that, too! Mine go back to around that time, maybe a couple of years later. And I also write down the names of the people I went with.
Um, I also collect Halloween cards, scary movies, anything related to James Dean, letters from friends (they go back to junior high), soundtracks, candles, old perfume bottles, butterflies, posters, just about anything I could possibly tape (mostly..err.. scary movies). I began collecting Tv Guides when I was in the 5th or 6th grade, but I stopped.

Otherwise, I don't really collect much. Maybe musical instruments since I have 2 flutes, a piccolo, Cassio electric keyboard and a guitar.

Can't find the copy of the photo I have, but this one is of Rick with Bobby Neal cra 1984-85.
Rickenbacker 10-14-2003, 06:35 PM I keep forgettng about stuff I collect inadvertantly! ..
MAD Magazines. I *love* MAD! I have a few old ones from the 70s & 60s & several of those little paperbacks from the 60s. They're hilarious. I get a subscription, so they keep rolling in.
I also buy lots of issues of Heavy Metal. (the fantasy mgazine. It isn't music-related) I have many from the 70s & 80s. Even the 1st issue from '77.

When I get in these nostalgic moods, I'll pull them out of a big shoe box I have tucked away, and all the memories come back to me. It is fun! I don't know too many people who collect them, so it's nice to see I'm not alone, either. :)
My cousin has a huge collection of Mad magazines. I don't think he'll ever part with them.
david&maddie4ever 10-15-2003, 10:50 PM Right now, I collect castles...any kind! I go from plastic to crystal! I have almost 20 already! :D
Do you guys remember those "magic trolls" they used to sell years ago? I used to collect them! I had over 50, but I think they all got thrown out! :(
Later. :bye:

Yes, I used to collect those trolls! I had less than 10 of them though. i still have most of them, too.
I used to collect business cards. I had several hundred of them. They were easy to collect because they're free. Now the only thing I can think of that I collect are moose themed stuff and state magnets. For each state in the US that I've been to I get a stamp in the shape of that state. I have about 22 of them now.

I thought that guy was an idiot since I first saw him posting, sooo whatever. I wasn't talking to you so I don't know why you even brought that up.
Anyways, I do kinda collect The Twilight Zone collection! I almost have all of the dvd's.

He does, thankyouverymuch. Why do you have to insult people that collect a certain thing as a hobby? I happen to collect autographed pictures too and I ENJOY it. Like I also mentioned, I collect license plates too and I ENJOY it too.
You shouldn't even be here- TJ banned you....Now leave.

You collect the Twilight Zone and I don't have much of a life for collecting autographs? Yeah, that makes a TON of sense. All you ever do is criticize people. People that you don't even KNOW. That shows how much of a life you have right there. I hardly ever talked to you before and I'm an idiot?

wow I own some volumes of tz, I don't have hundreds of autographs sitting at home scanning some lousy preprint. and I know I don't have much of a life, but I'm sure it's better than yours.

First of all, I don't have any preprints on my site. All the preprints that I get are thrown away. Secondly, according to your logic (apparently WELL thought out), almost anyone who has a site dedicated to their hobby must have no life.
Why not tell everyone here who has sites that they have no life? Also, why not go here
http://www.toddsautographarena.com/linksnew.html and tell all those people they have no lives. Yeah, I'm sure your life is just a treat, just like you are!
