Well one night when I was trying to go to sleep I felt the end of my bed sag down, like someone sat there. I sleep with my door locked and I even asked my mom if she had come in there. But ofcourse she hadnt. So I dont know what the heck it was.

And I was in the basement on day, no one else was home and I heard noises upstairs, like footsteps, doors opening and closing. My moms heard it too.

yeah I know what you mean. I have seen things out of the corner of my eyes. But when I look up nothing is there.

But the scaries thing that ever happened to me was when I was 6. I was at my friends house and it was late. She had a whole bunch of stuffed animals in her room against her bed and dresser. In her room there was a red light on the celing so it made the room look weird. Then she walked out of the room leaving me alone in there and I swear I saw her teddy ruxpin bear blink it's eves and move it's mouth open and closed one time. I screamed and ran out crying... but my mom & her mom didn't believe me they just said. Oh it must be a problem with the wiring... yeah right. From that day I am scared of teddy ruxpin or any kind of bear that you put batteries in and it talks...

it's kind of funny now but then I was freakin scared.

Nothing scary ever happened to me at Halloween but there were several incidents that come to mind that occured at other times. I remember a couple of times where I was sleeping and I was sort of awake and sort of asleep. I realized that I couldn't move a single muscle. I couldn't move at all no matter how hard I tried! My father said it was sleep paralysis. It is a scary sensation.

I got out my calculator one time and the number 666 was already typed in

I saw some scary looking lady floating towards me really fast at the corner of my eye and when i looked up there was nothing there.

The other night i had a balloon in my room and it start moving around wildly out of nowhere

My room was pitch dark and i saw a red flashing light on my wall but then i looked closely and it was a digital clock... lol.

Once when I was younger, I was rollerblading on my street, and I was taunting some neighborhood German Shephards, or maybe they were Dobermans....Anyway, they got out and started chasing me; I got weak in the knees and fell and I thought they were gonna kill me, but by the Grace of God they just left a few seconds after I fell.

Sorry, I know this isn't paranormal, but *sniff* I just had to get it off my chest. :D

I remember taking a nap one afternoon, and out of nowhere I heard a man call out my name, as if to get my attention. There was noone in the house.. I've heard footsteps, a young woman's voice, seen things out of the corners of my eye. Late one night as I was falling asleep, I felt a cold chill near the side of my face and what felt like a small, gentle kiss to my cheek. And almost every night, I could swear someone is sitting down on the side of my bed.

When I was still living in Germany I was sleeping in my room. I heard a knock at my door and I wasn't really awake so I kinda rolled over. Then somehow I got up - but I wasn't awake - I was totally fast asleep, I opened my bedroom door, went across the hall and opened the front door. There was a guy there, speaking in German. I was too sleepy I said something along the lines of "Ich schlaffe" (I'm sleeping) and turned around and went back to my room. I didn't shut the door. To this day I have no idea if that really happened or not. I'm pretty sure it did - I woke up with my bedroom door wide open, and I always sleep with it shut. So yeah, I'm pretty positive that I was walking in my sleep.

I sleep walked outside of our house, one time. I was only about 4 or 5, but I walked out of my room, through our hallway, through the kitchen, and out the back door. My mom and dad found me sitting outside.

wow. it's so crazy. I remember it like a dream, ya know? I kinda remember walking, but I didn't have any control over it - i couldn't stop or say anything.

I guess I was lucky that it happened when I was older - but one of my friends pointed out that a man could very well have been there, and I'm very lucky that if he was, he didn't try anything. I was completely helpless. I bet you gave your folks a heart attack!

I've heard my name being called and no one is in the room. I've have felt I someone has poked me in the side and also tap me on the back, no one there. After my dad passed away the wind up music box played. Also he used to sit at the computor alot and play card games. One day after he had passed away I was in that room and the chain on our blinds next to the computor was swinging back and forth. I watched for a 1/2 hour and sometimes it would pick up speed. There was no air on or fan going. All the other chains were still, but this one by the computor kept going. So I thought dad was just letting me know he's here. When I was a kid me and my brother were woken up in the middle of the night and we both heard a noise in the kitchen. My mom always put bottles of pills on the refrigerator. It sounded like someone was shaking those bottles. I was too scared to get up, but I saw my brother come by the room and I said, do you hear that and he said yes. So he tipped toed to investigate and the second he entered the kitchen the noise stopped. I was scared to go back to sleep. We always heard ( strange ) noises in that house.

Ok, I have the scariest one of them all. One morning...it was cold outside...and all of a sudden...I hear my door open. Now...it was early...like 6ish. So I hear my beads in my door rattle and someone walking in my room. Then, I felt someone sit down on my bed and I pulled the blankets around my head and then the thing touched me and in a woman's voice said...

"Goodmorning Lauren...time to go to school"

OK, I have a seriously scary one that will make your hair curl...This happened to me and my then-best friend.

We were both in 3rd grade (this was 10 years ago, circa 1993), and at that time, my then-best friend lived in a very old house estimated to be built around the 1850's-1890's. Their basement used to be a cabin house a VERY VERY long time ago, because it had real rock walls and stuff like that. The rest of the house looked normal but had a very 1800's feel to it. You know how the houses back then had many rooms and not all of them had doors on them? It was like that. They had real wooden floors and everything like that. Well...Anyway...Now that I've got the bases covered, I shall tell my story.

We would be up in her room, playing games and stuff like that, and suddenly she would say, "QUICK! Get on my bed!" and all the lights would go off...Not like they were burning out, but like somebody was turning them off, even though we were no where near there! Her house was too old to have actual light switches in every room, so she had four lamps mounted to her wall- two on two sides of her room. Two of them were high up above her bed, and a 8 year old couldn't have reached it. And when we got on her bed, we couldn't reach the other two lamps. Then we would SEE ghosts flying around. Then, her room would get really cold all of a sudden...

But that's not all of my story! (You guys thought that was the end of my story?) The same year (this was circa November 1993), we were sitting in the gym at school for recess, because it was too cold to go outside that recess period. We both had on longsleeve shirts, and we both had all our sleeves rolled up so our arms were visible to each other. We were sitting face-to-face on one of the bleachers, playing a game. All of a sudden, we both felt cold chills and then my best friend said, "RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and we both got up from the bleachers and started running around the perimeter of the gym, away from that chill. I was looking at her arms the whole time- there was nothing on it and we were not holding anything because we were so freaked out by that chill. All of a sudden, my friend stopped and started crying. I stopped too and asked her what was wrong, and she held out her arm.... Now, this is where this story gets REALLY creepy. On her arm was a VERY well-formed handprint! But it was NOT the ordinary human handprint. It was about 3 inches long by 3½ inches wide and it had FOUR FINGERS. All the fingers were POINTED, too! That handprint was pressed so deep into her skin that it looked like she had suddenly been grabbed and had been held on to VERY tightly, even though I hadn't done anything. The area around that handprint was VERY red and looked like it really hurt - enough to make my friend cry.

That was the SCARIEST thing I have EVER seen and I hope I never see anything like that, ever again! Like I said before- this happened at school and I have heard stories of two kids there that were killed in the 1930's/1940's, so maybe it has something to do with that.

Scaaaaaaaaary.

omg: that totally gave me goose bumps... that is so creepy....

I have another story. When I was in 5th grade a few of my friends were gonna have a sleep over at one of their houses. And they asked me if I could come. Well the day before I had gotten in trouble at home and was grounded so I could't go. But at the party one of the girls brought out a ouigi board. And they told me that I should be glad I wasn't there cause they said that they lit candles and held hands and started to make it move. Then they said the window opened all by it self and blew the candles out. Then one of my friends hands started to shake as they were holding hands and they think that something possessed her. Cause the next day she had cut her own hair and it looked all weird. And she wasn't acting like herself. Then at recess everyone who had been at the party was around her and she had her hands out and they were touching her hands and they would start shaking very violently. It got really scary and they eventually went to the counselors office. That girl eventually commited suicide.

Also something really strange has been happening to me lately... like yesterday i was taking a nap and my dad came in and said "How many times do i have to tell you?!? get up and go unload the dishes!!" so later on i asked why he was acting all pissed off and he said that it was the 3rd time he woke me up.. i told him i apparently didnt hear him the 1st few times but he said that the first time i looked at him and said "ok, i'll be there in a few minutes." i dont even remember it.. i was fast asleep!!

this has been happening for about a year, someone wakes me up for the 378th time and says the first time i talked to them and got up and whatever, with me just.. not knowing it i guess.. or SOMETHING. i have no idea whats exactly happening but its freaking me out.

This happened a few days ago. I was dreaming somebody was taken to the hospital, with blood on the side of there face. A few days later, this boy lost his temper and punched the glass window in our door. I got cut on the side of the head and was taken to the hospital by my mom. I had to get stiches because the cut was deep. It was just like my dream...

I also have this pic of me when I was like 5 years old and Im in this big field next to an old barn. and there are leaves all over the ground and right next to me is a round ball and it's white. But there was no ball there... I heard somewhere that spirits can appear on flim and it looks like a streak of light where no light should be...

Wow, those stories are freaking scary. I've had tons of scary things happen to me, none really paranormal, though...Yesterday, though, I went to open the door to the bathroom, and the door was pulled back like someone was in there and I could of sworn there was. I opened the door more and even looked behind it, and no one was in there. It was weird.

Here's another one. It didn't happen to me,though. My mom said when she was younger, a week before her uncle or someone died...he was saying how if he were ever to be an animal in a next life, he'd want to be a dog. After he passed away, a week later a stray dog came to their house, and stayed there for awhile until they found they're owner. I think that's kind of weird, though...

He took this girl to his house and when he got there he got out the car and told the girl's parents that he had the daughter in the car. The parents looked at him and told my dad that she(the daughter had been dead for 2 years)

Ive heard stories like that. i wanna do that to people when i die just for the fun of scaring them

heres a storie i found on www.snopes.com

A dozen miles outside of Baltimore, the main road from New York (Route Number One) is crossed by another important highway. It is a dangerous intersection, and there is talk of building and underpass for the east-west road. To date, however, the plans exist only on paper.
Dr. Eckersall was driving home from a country-club dance late one Saturday night. He slowed up for the intersection, and was surprised to see a lovely young girl, dressed in the sheerest of evening gowns, beckoning him for a lift. He jammed on his brakes, and motioned her to climb into the back seat of his roadster. "All cluttered up with golf clubs and bags up here in front," he explained. "But what on earth is a youngster like you doing out here all alone at this time of night?"

"It's too long a story to tell you now," said the girl. Her voice was sweet and somewhat shrill -- like the tinkling of sleigh bells. "Please, please take me home. I'll explain everything there. The address is ___ North Charles Street. I do hope it's not too far out of your way."

The doctor grunted, and set the car in motion. He drove rapidly to the address she had given him, and as he pulled up before the shuttered house, he said, "Here we are." Then he turned around. The back seat was empty!

"What the devil?" the doctor muttered to himself. The girl couldn't possibly have fallen from the car. Nor could she simply have vanished. He rang insistently on the house bell, confused as he had never been in his life before. At long last the door opened. A gray-haired, very tired-looking man peered out at him.

"I can't tell you what an amazing thing has happened," began the doctor. "A young girl gave me this address a while back. I drove her here and . . ."

"Yes, yes, I know," said the man wearily. "This has happened several other Saturday evenings in the past month. That young girl, sir, was my daughter. She was killed in an automobile accident at that intersection where you saw her almost two years ago . . ."

The English teacher that I had from 9-11th grade told a story about this. She was originally from TX. She said a school bus full of children died on those tracks. She was in high school at the time and her track coach and a few friends decided to go over the tracks. She said the second they started to go over them, you could see little hand prints pressing up against all the windows and they were lifted up over them. She wasn't known for lying, so I assume it did happen. It's just odd that you mentioned it. I never heard anyone else mention it before.

Yeah some crazy stuff happened in Galveston Texas too in the 1900's there was a huge hurricane and it killed thousands of people. There were so many bodies that alot of them were put in the ocean... So it's like the water feels haunted... and there are a lot of huge Mansions that are haunted... Like the "Moody Mansion"

I was going to put that in my message last night! That hurricane practically wiped out the entire town. I've been out swimming lots of times, but until now, I never thought about that (the bodies out in the ocean). Creepy..

I've had a few things happen to me...

When I was about 13 my mom left to pick up my brother and I was watching t.v. by myself and someone was in my backyard and starting whispering my name through the window. I was so freaked out that by the time my mom and brother came home she said I was white as a ghost and she couldn't get me to stop starring at the window. When I snapped out of it, she called the cops not knowing what was going on. They never found anyone or anything so it was dropped.

Another is in the house we're living in now. When me and my husband first bought it we both felt something strangely unexplainable. Like there was someone always watching us. We would work on the house at night after work till all hours of the night and we both heard stuff and numerous times things fell in the basement with no explanation at all.
The one time my husband came racing up the basement stairs yelling that he felt someone watching him, it really freaked us both out.
Another time after we moved in, I was in the basement and kept having visions of a man with a beard and a red flannel shirt on and he just kept walking towards me, nothing happened though.
My niece called once and left a message on the machine, on the message you could hear it sounded like someone had picked up the phone, then you hear here say, "aunt krista" a couple times thinking i had picked up, (no one was home!!!) then you hear someone whispering something, we couldn't make it out and my niece thought i was playing a joke on here.
We've heard our son talking to someone in his room many times, he's even come out and said, "mommy they won't listen", or " he's not playing fair" pretty freaky.
We've gotten used to it now and know they won't hurt us cause we've been hear for 3 years now. Although, if my son comes out and says something, I go into his room and say, "if you're not gonna play nice then you have to come back when you'll be good okay". Strange huh!!!

I forgot to add about our house,
Our neighbors told us that there was an only child that lived here 40 years ago and his name was Cameron. That's our son's name and right now he's an only child. Also I've asked them if anyone here ever had a beard and they said that same family that had the only child Cameron, his father had a beard all the time. Talk about not sleeping the first half a year we lived here. But like I said, I think they like us cause nothing bad has ever happened. Thank God.

It's freaky isn't it? I believe in all this stuff though. I love scary things, movies, ghosts, anything that gives me chills. Although, when it's time to close my eyes and go to sleep, I have to have something funny on t.v. otherwise I can't sleep.

Yes! I do, too and I absolutely cannot get enough of all those things, either: scary movies, paranormal stuff, ghost stories, etc. If it's spooky and out of the norm, I eat it up like candy. I can sleep without the tv on, but there's no way in hell you're getting me to leave the closet door open - not even a crack. My imagination messes with me too much.

I have an active imagination, and I've scared myself lots of times, but I don't think we can explain away everything. I mean, sure it could be "nothing" but then... what if there IS something there. I'm pretty convinced there's something here.

I've gotten that whole, "Hmm, maybe you were tired. It's probably nothing." Or they tell me the same thing people have told you, and it's gotten to the point where I don't even bother talking about it anymore.

Um, it's a long story but my mom's dad (my grandfather) I've never met him but he is haunting my moms room, he used to haunt my grandmas and my mom went in there and... it's a long story, she went in the mental ward that night. Lol, but yeah I do believe he's haunting my mom's room. She doesn't sleep in there because of it, when me and my brother used to live in there and slept on a bunkbed we actually felt an earthquake in there and the bed was shaking against the wall but my mom didn't wake up. And whenever anyone sleeps in there they have AWFUL nightmares, my mom also felt an earthquake last year when she slept up there. I was downstairs crying and too scared to get my mom because I saw a man in front of the front door and strange noises, I was too scared to move. But then my mom came out freaked out because of an earthquake and found me freaking out downstairs because someone was at the door. I think her dad was the one at the door and doing and earthquake in the room at the same time. I didn't feel the earthquake that time though.

And these stories are TRUE, I honestly believe that room is haunted. My room is also haunted but I asked the spirit to go in there, so can't argue about that.

Over the summer I thought a plane was going to hit my house and that SCARED me. I used to have nightmares about them flying at my house, so this really freaked me out. It was some kind of big jet and it was flying really low. It passed over the house then turned while it was over the town and looked as though it was coming right at us. we thought something was wrong with it and it was going to crash anytime. It looked like it was going right into the living room, but it didn't. That same day a plane crashed in LA, I think.
I saw some kind of troll or something in my room when I was little...I was leaning against my bed playing with my hamster, Fuzz, when I heard something scratch on the bedpost, so I turned and looked at this little green face peeping around the bed at me, laughing! I jumped up onto my bed screaming, but the thing had disappeared. My mom and I checked around my room and we didn't find the demon thing or whatever it was, but we did find a tiny footprint imprinted in the carpet where I had seen it...shudders...I changed bedrooms shortly after that.
