i picked most of them.

1. Carmen getting chosen because at the time, i didnt really know who she was, and she didnt really do well. So when SIMON picked her, i was literally in a state of shock, even though i began to like her later.

2. Carmen outlasting Kim C.
Both were great, but i really thought Kim C had more "American Idol" in her than Carmen. I think that if Kim outlasted Carmen, than she could of easily passed Trenyce and Josh, unlike Carmen. Plus, you could tell the judges were pissed because they literally bashed Carmen on her last week.

3. Corey's dsiqualification
At the time, i didnt like Corey at all. I was like "is he ever gonna get out!!!", and when he finally got disqualified, it was really shocking. Though, I kind of think that the fact that nobody went home on disco week screwed up Rickey and Kim C.

4. Josh making 4th place
Its just way too high for Josh. I think that many people behind him were better.

5. Ruben making the bottom 2
Actually, after watching the performances, i ranked him 4th out of the remaining 5, mainly due to the fact that Kim L, Clay, and Trenyce had one of their best weeks, Josh had his worst, and Ruben only did good. So I kind of predicted him landing in the bottom. But, when he actually DID land there, i was in disbelief.

6. Other: Clay not winning
HONESTLY. Even though they both had a great chance of winning, many polls had Clay beating Ruben by a longshot ( i think people magazine had Clay at 74%, and Ruben at 28%), and the thing was, even Ruben fans over at the Idol forums were predicting that it was gonna be Clay's night. So i was almost sure it was gonna be Clay, and when it wasnt, i was kinda like "really???" lol. But they both are great.

7. Trenyce's past arrest
A little shocking. I thought it would definately get her out on Disco Week. It almost did!

Its a tie between Ruben landing in the bottom 2, and Carmen outlasting Kim Caldwell. Ruben, for obvious reasons, and Carmen and Kim, because I personally think that Kim is a way better singer than Carmen.

I picked Carmen & Josh. Simon have Carmen another chance.. then for the rest of the show he chewed her out. As for Josh.. c'mon- we all know had he not been in the Marines he never wouldve made it that far. I was surprised about Ruben, but then I read all the possible theories to rig the show, etc.. so I dont see it as much of a surprise anymore. But yeah.. Im with you when you say Clay not winning is the biggest shock.

I don't see how Clay not winning over Ruben was the biggest shock, when you had Simon and the others practically every week saying "Ruben, you deserve to win the competition." Then there were episodes where they got on Clay a little, Simon dissing him when he sang Grease and calling him more suited for Broadway. There's a great deal of people who call in and vote who'll let themselves be influenced by what the judges say. They both received praise from judges at certain points, but it was a constant thing for Ruben. The most negative thing Simon said about Ruben is that he shouldn't just settle for the Barry White type of vibe. Week after week, Simon said positive things about Ruben, and people were influence by that. At the point that Clay and Ruben were the last two, either could have won, they both deserved to be there. That can't be the biggest shock.

What about the whole Frenchie thing? If she wasn't forced to leave then she and Ruben would have been head-to-head in the final round instead of him and Clay.

What was Trenyce's past? I seem to forget.
