Suzanne and John have both been on sitcoms after Three's Company!! Why not Joyce?! It'll be so cool to see her in something recent!!:)

I don't know if she wants to act because for the past few years, she was traveling alot so she might want to think about it when she visited every place possible...

In a recent interview it said:

After a long personal journey in Santa Fe, Joyce DeWitt is ready to return to work full time.

While DeWitt, best remembered as Janet Wood in the sitcom Three's Company, doesn't have a firm job offer, she's set up a pad in Santa Barbara.

And she's raring to go after accepting few acting gigs in the past decade.

"I call it my what's it all about healthy stage,'' she says of her break.

"I just feel a great deal of excitement about working again.''

I'm pretty sure she wants to go back again and I think a sitcom would be an excellent comeback for DeWitt!!

She should've made a cameo on the Dream Sequence on 8 Simple Rules, that would've been a surprise...

Joyce should get something! She is probably in the top 3 of all time as "straight men"..

a great "straight man" is very hard to find!! Joyce can play straight plus make you laugh.. but not be greedy or have a ego to be the Lead which does all the funny stuff

very hard to find and she is one of the best ever at it!!!

Ya it would be great to see her in a sitcom again! Maybe in one where her granddaughter moves in w/her,cause her mom couldnt take care of her and she didnt want to. They would have to adjust to new living situations. Like curfew, chores, school, friends, and boys! I have put a lot of thought into this to tell you the truth.:) I want to see her in a sitcoms A.S.A.P. i bet she still has it. too bad you cant write to a producer or someone and tell them ur ideas.:( i would tell them my idea and strongly suggest to have joyce play the grandma! But you cant so..i'll just leave it on this message board.:p

That's a good idea but I think Joyce would be better off playing an aunt who's niece moves in with her and all that. Joyce is no grandma type yet!! She's still very young and sexy!!
It could even be that Joyce is the aunt who never wanted kids and has to take care of her teenaged niece and they form a bond noone ever thought would happen!! Of course being an actress, I would definitly be first in line for an audition!!

I LOVE JOYCE DEWITT!!

JOYCE DEWITT rocks:rock:

Much applause to JoYcE DeWiTt!! :clap

Yeah, I agree something like that would be cool to see. I hope at least she could make guest appearances on some shows, she's too good of an actress not to.

Yeah, when I think of a grandma, I think of someone who is 70/80 with grey hair and a hunchback with a walker/cane. I don't see Joyce as a grandma...

I wasnt quite thinking of it like that. I mean cause shes so sweet and nice and all. But you are right, she is quite young to be a grandma.:) I do like the aunt and niece idea tho!

hey thats a good idea!:) too bad we cant contact a producer and tell them our idea.:( she'd be back on tv in no time.:) Now all we would need is someone to play her granddaughter. nobody kinda looks like her. well no one can really look like her but they could at least have her dark hair! or some other feature. There has to be some famous teenager. i think it would get more younger people if we had someone like lalaine(miranda from lizzie mcguire). she is the closest thing i can think of now! what do you think?

She's not going to play a grandma though. She's still too young for that!! And I don't think it necessarily has to be a famous teenager. They can cast anyone good!! The show would be a HIT!!

ooops..sorry bout that. i keep forgetting that its a niece and aunt. my bad. it is true..it doesnt need a famous teenager. it is a lot easier to get the whole thing thought out with all the spots filled, thats all. i wish someone would see our thoughts. i think this could really work!:)

Joyce is long overdue for a new sitcom. I think she's waited long enough, she needs to come back!
I would do the same thing I did with 8 simple rules, I started watching the show because I knew that John Ritter was gonna be in it. The same for Joyce, I'd watch it just because she's in it.

i totally agree. she needs to hurry up and get on a sitcom before something happens. as we just witnessed, anything can happen at any time. And she deserves it.:)

no i dont think it would be right for her to replace him. first of all thats not possible. you cannot replace john ritter. second of all she deserves her own show! and third of all how would she replace him? would she be married to cate? doesnt really go. they would probably fit her in some other way but i see no reason to. she's better off just starting her own show!:) 3scompanyfreak and i are starting a sitcom on here that we think would be good for joyce to be in! its really good too!!:D

oh right. that would be something...them being together and all. but still i dont think she belongs on that show. when i think of 8 simple rules joyce dewitt doesnt quite come to mind. if you kno what i mean? :) but a guest appearance would be a nice thing to see! i dont really think the producers are thinking of it that way tho. she'll just have to get her own show. no problem if her manager would look at this board!LOL! but hey, whatever happens, happens.
