My husband recently heard a rumor that Ed O'Neil A.K.A. Al Bundy will be replacing John Ritter on 8 Simple Rules. Both my husband and I definitely believe this is only that, a rumor. But wouldn't it be funny to see "Al" and "Peggy" back together again??? :lol:

I heard he's going to guest star as Cate's brother. Ed O'neil is already staring in a tv show called LA Dragnet on ABC.

yes, mr roper....i know. that is why i said i believed it was only a rumor. but anyway, i could tell you are a big three's company fan. that show was always my favorite!

Three's Company was always one of my favorites too and so was John Ritter. I think the producers will stick with the regulars for awhile, but I wouldn't be surprised if a big name star later joins the show as a relative or someone close to the family. If they do decide to add a big name star, I think Tim Allen would be perfect! He could play Cate's brother, and he would be an awesome uncle figure. I miss John so much, but I did enjoy Tim in Home Improvement and would like to see him on TV again.

Although i never liked the idea of a replacement, I do like the idea of Tim Allen. but I dont think he should be a regular. make him appear every now and then. I dont like the idea of a full replacement coming in.

Honestly, i dont like the idea of Ed O'Neil on the show :-/
