View Full Version : Name the Episode Game
Maestro 10-10-2003, 04:12 PM Welcome to the Name the Episode Game.
Same basic rules apply for gameflow (see below).
This is similar to basic trivia, but the goal is to name the episode, every answer answer will be the epi title.
The clue giver will leave a word or words, if the answer is not gotten, the clue giver can add more word(s) to the clue until some one gets it.
Keep your words/clue like a list.
It's kind of like doing trivia drills, do what you can by memory.
SAMPLE:
POST 1/PLAYER 1:
Mr. Lippman
TV Guide
gyros from Queensboro Plaza subway stop
POST 2/PLAYER 2:
The Cigar Store Indian #74
POST 3/PLAYER 1: Correct PLAYER 2, it's your turn.
===
Rules of Engagement:
This will be the standard format; someone leaves a clue, you answer correctly, the person asking confirms your correct answer, then you assume control & leave new clue, & it starts all over.
Use basic courtesy, don't ask until your correct answer is confirmed by who has control.
the 24 hour rule:
if 24 hours passes without a post, ANYONE may take control of the game by asking a Q. If you ask a Q, watch for & confirm correct answers so you pass control of the game, keep it moving (you can also let them know when they are wrong).
If 24 hours passes, posts have been made but a correct answer has not been posted, the player in control either gives more clue/restates his Q, or can answer his own Q, submit a new Q & the games roles on.
If 24 passes after a correct answer has been posted, yet it has not received confirmation by player in control, other players can confirm it...(and/or) I will monitor the game close enough to avoid this, I can confirm most answers.
Sometimes 24 hours seems like an enternity for those who hang online (at work or whatever), but it's a decent timeframe to allow even gameplay. If a bunch of you are online you can burn through pages asking & confirming if your so inclined.
Try not to repeat questions. Gets tough to track later when the thread grows (or if you play other SeinTriv games), but try.

sinatrastar 10-20-2003, 10:22 PM That's it. Didnt they sing Wind Beneath my Wings in that episode? If not, oops.
sinatrastar 10-20-2003, 10:26 PM Im sure they did, at the beginning when the understudy cried during the movie, and when Kramer sang it to Bette after she got Galoolied by boyGeorge.

American Video was across the street from H & H Bagel (shown only).
Clint Eastwood films = The Good, Bad & The Ugly (Jer referring to 2-face/Gwen) & shortly thereafter George mentions The Outlaw of Josey Whales, big Clint E. is also mentioned directly by name.
Batman = Jer/George uses it to refer to Gwen:
GEORGE: So, attractive one day - not attractive the next?
JERRY: Have you come across this?
GEORGE: Yes, I am familiar with this syndrome -- she's a two-face.
JERRY: (Relating) Like the Batman villain?
GEORGE: (Annoyed) If that helps you..
& btw, Azzari was the name of the show's production designer like that of the move truck, another non-accident ;)

(That is 'the' Superman ep)
sinatrastar 12-29-2003, 04:22 PM Yes.
Maestro 12-30-2003, 02:36 PM name the ep:
a Pontiac muscle car
a feed bag
sinatrastar 12-30-2003, 03:34 PM What is the little kicks?
Maestro 12-31-2003, 11:33 PM 138 The Little Kicks is correct. Back to you.
(What is ;) :D )
sinatrastar 01-01-2004, 03:26 PM I guess I thought it was Jeopardy.
New Episode:
Laundry
Airport
Coffee
Button
sinatrastar 01-07-2004, 01:30 PM Mets losing

Maestro 01-07-2004, 01:54 PM The one that did not feature Elaine and had no 'The' in the title.
sinatrastar 01-07-2004, 04:00 PM #1 Good News, Bad News
Maestro 01-12-2004, 12:22 PM Are you saying I am correct & it's my roll?
sinatrastar 01-12-2004, 04:59 PM That is what I meant to say
Maestro 01-12-2004, 05:03 PM Sorry bro, I'm sure you saw the smart arse sarcasm in my ep answer and realized it was based on my vagueness whines about the 'Who Am I" game. :D
I'll post fresh ep clues on my afternoon log on, got to run for a bit.
(another ping pong game :) -but hey, these are solid threads)
Maestro 01-13-2004, 02:08 PM name the ep:
-the type of sandals the Beach Boys sing about.
-George, the fruit eating slob, ruins prob the most collectible Yankee uniform.
sinatrastar 01-13-2004, 03:32 PM I dont want to look for this one, I'm thinking season 8. I'm gonna think on it.
Maestro 01-13-2004, 04:11 PM That's cool
I googled them only if the game came to a hault for too long. We'll just keep working our chops.
name the ep:
-Newman
-the type of sandals the Beach Boys sing about.
-George, the fruit eating slob, ruins prob the most collectible Yankee uniform.
sinatrastar 01-13-2004, 09:36 PM I'm pretty sure it is the episode before the Summer of George, so the second to the last epi of the second to the last season. Cant remember what else was going on.
Maestro 01-14-2004, 01:32 AM real close...
name the ep:
-everyday ballons (as opposed to special ones)
-Wilhelm
-Newman
-the type of sandals the Beach Boys sing about.
-George, the fruit eating slob, ruins prob the most collectible Yankee uniform.
sinatrastar 01-14-2004, 11:14 AM I dont think this is an actual title, but
The Millenium?
Maestro 01-14-2004, 11:28 AM 154 The Millennium is correct.
(I bet the ballons helped. For non look ups it's nice if the clues lead to the title :)
the sandals were Harachis -from Puntamayo)
sinatrastar 01-14-2004, 11:30 AM Oh, that is not the second to the last episode. Well, cool anyway.
sinatrastar 01-14-2004, 11:33 AM bizarro world
Uncle Leo
Susan
jeweler
Maestro 01-14-2004, 12:38 PM Well... the obvious is out, as Leo..... (ahem... who?...) I mean Uncle Leo or Susan were not in The Bizarro Jerry.
I'll be brewing on it :)
sinatrastar 01-15-2004, 01:00 AM ok
Maestro 01-15-2004, 03:23 PM Leo & Susan together puts in in mid seasons (4 or 5), excluding The Finales.
I'll take a another clue when your ready to issue it.
:)
sinatrastar 01-15-2004, 04:13 PM new clues:
band
bizarro world - used as a derogatory term
Uncle Leo
Susan

sinatrastar 01-19-2004, 09:41 PM new clues:

Uncle Leo
Susan
jeweler
raincoats
Maestro 01-20-2004, 12:49 AM If it's not The Wallet, it must be 046 The Watch.
Sometimes I see 046 The Wallet listed as 046 The Wallet 2, & I'll sometimes see 045 The Watch listed as 045 The Watch 1. Almost like a 2 parter with different ep titles. Definitley go together.
sinatrastar 01-20-2004, 05:13 PM The Watch is correct.
give them away - The restaurant owner to Morty
band - Leo had never seen one like that before
bizarro world - used as a derogatory term - Jerry to George's negotiating the contract downward.
Uncle Leo - appeared
Susan - appeared
jeweler - was allegedly fixing the watch
raincoats - Morty informed the retaurant owner he sold them
