I've watched this show for several lengths of time starting with CBS's colorized Christmas episode back in '90(?).

Is anyone here interested in classic radio. Over this past Summer I got a compilation of classic radio which included an episode of "My Favorite Husband." In that episode Liz and her husband (George?) took piano lessons and were competing on a radio talent show.

My favorite comedians are probably Abbott and Costello, I have a compilation of their radio shows as well which includes a Lucy appearance. The Episode is entitled "Bud and Lou want Lucille Ball's Nylon Stockings." Lou wants to get Nylon stocking for his girlfriend, the department store has a pair left. Lou loses to Lucile (Bugs Bunny calls the race) and after wards they follow her to her home and try yo talk her out of it. You can hear her laughter in the background during Bud & Lou's dialogue. Lucille tells Lou "I talked to your tailor at Univerasal, and he worked on you for two days before he met you." Eventually Lou threatens to give her a part in their next movie and she gives in. Lucille tells them to turn around and don't rubberneck while she's removing her stockings. Lou replies "I won't rubber, Ball" and then comidically yells "I THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY!," Lucille then replies with "You would rubber, heel." Lou finds out that that the girlfriend was going to get them for Ms. Ball.

Barnes & Noble also sell a "Bob Hope Show" collection from Radio Spirits that also features Lucy.

Hey there, I love old time radio programs..This might not be the forum for discussing them, but I have quite a collection..You can pick up alot off of Kaza, most are in the public domain, and there are a few with Lucy......Tom Shaw

I had about 50 Lucy radio shows saved on my computer, but unfortunatly my computer just broke and everything was lost. :( Oh well, the ones that I did listen to were excellent! (I especially loved Lucy's appearances on Suspense) :)

I'm sorry about your computer! That stinks. I got a virus on mine a year ago and lost things I had saved too. I agree with you, Lucy's appearances on Suspense are excellent; definitely some of my favorites.

I got one off Kazaa, but I couldn't ever get any others to connect.

:eek: I think I would faint.

YAY!! I found out that the computer got a virus, but all of my stuff was saved. At first the man fixing it said that everything would be lost, but he figured out how to save it all. He's still working on it, (that's why I haven't been posting lately) but I'm glad I still have those wonderful radio shows!

I also love "My Favorite Husband" and her appearances on Lux Radio Theater. "The Man Who Came to Dinner" and the Orson Welles Show were great too. :)

Believe it or not there is an actual radio version of I Love Lucy that aired on stations in the early 50s. However unlike the TV Lucy, the radio I love Lucy didn't last long.

Lucy, Desi, Vivian, and William are there. and I believe that too was sponsored by Phillip Morris. There is an episode of it on radiolovers.com . The episode they have is "breaking the lease", to me it sounds like the audio of the tv version of I love Lucy, maybe thats why I Love Lucy didn't last on radio.

Lucy also did some sort of talk/interview show for radio in the 60s called something like "Tell it to Lucy", that didn't last long either. I don't think any copies of it exist. One of the Lucy bios talks about it.

I have a radio version of "I Love Lucy" from Radio Spirits' "60 of the Greatest Old Time Radio Shows of the 20th Century".

There's this one...OMG, now I can't remember the name. :rolleyes: Anyway, it's like this family that moves to Hollywood. Well, somehow grandpa ends up in Lucy's house. It's funny.

I have that. It's almost like someone put a recorder up to the TV and recorded the TV Show.
