You'd Hate But Liked After Seeing It?

My brother forced me (practially at gunpoint:lol: ) to watch "X-Men" with him which is normally not my kind of movie at all but after seeing it I had to admit it was pretty fun.:p

After lots of encouragement from friends, I finally watched Hannibal. I didn't like the idea that Julianne Moore was going to be Starling (even though I do like her movies), because I really really wanted to see Jodie Foster again. But, I liked it!

Daredevil- I thought it would be absolute Ben Affleck crap in a hat- but was surprised by how good it was. That's why I'd like to see a sequel- and I hate spiderman! I also didn't watch the silence of the lambs until just before Hannibal's release.

I had my doubts about Forrest Gump when it was being hyped so much! But was I wrong! That is one of the best movies ever made IMO.:D

Grease...I think I was 7 when I first saw it lol. But I remember thinking, 'why would anyone make a movie about grease?' Awesome movie...probably my favorite, next to Dirty Dancing.

Probably the first "Matrix" movie. Everyone I knew was demanding I go see this movie, so I eventually went and saw it, and I loved it.

Same here. I loved it. Saw it in the theater.

"Remember those posters that said, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life"? Well, that's true of every day but one... the day you die."

Its sad I can think of my favorite quotes from the movie right off the top of my head.

I'm not a fan of Westerns, but I went to the theater to see, Open Range, with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall. My husband loves Westerns, so I went with him, and I ended up loving the movie.

Yeah, I didnt expect that to be a good movie either. But it was pretty good. I also didn't exprect the Lord of the Rings to be that good either. I just watched it to see Orlando Bloom, but I ended up LOVING it.

my sister made me watch "The Beautician and the Beast" with Fran Drescher - can you think of a worse title? It was actually really cute - and halfway through it we looked at each other and went "this is The King and I!" :)

Just thought of another one - "The Swan Princess." It was on the tv when I was staying at a hotel somewhere, and I loved it. I totally thought it was going to be horrible, but it's actually really sweet :)

I wouldn't say I thought I would hate it but I thought Out of Time was going to be one of those done-to-death mediocre cop movies but after watching it, I was really surprised. I thought it was an excellent movie. Denzel Washington rocked in that film.

You're the second person I've ever met who liked Grease 2 better than Grease. I really can't understand how there's that many of you :p Grease 2... well, it wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting, that's the best I can say for it ;)

I also love Grease 2. Xanadu is also a favorite.
I did not think I would like Titanic (after all the hype)
LOTR or Harry Potter.
The only reason I watched LOTR was because the people who had our dog before us named him Strider and I wanted to know what Stride looked like. Harry Potter was a gift to my daughters from a relative.
