That is sooo cool :)

which ones do you remember seeing live on TV the most?

I remember:

* The First one.. when Janet showed the spoon for the punch :) & the scene where Roper touched that girls boobs.. (I thought he was going to go to jail for doing that) ;)

* When Roper's Niece took off her dress & Jack's Beer popped

* When Mrs. Roper came back in that Furley Episode.. her face lift freaked me out:eek:

* Jack Sking.. Jack at the Money Machine.. Jack itching when he had poison oak.... & When Jack & Ralph were locked in the freezer & he tells him he is NOT gay! (that scared me when I saw the commercial for that)

Im 18, i've been watching the syndicated episodes of Threes Company since I was 6, thats right six!

Although I did not understand the adult humor at the time, I understood the physical aspect of the comedy.

As I grew older I started to understand the epuisodes more and more which gave me more reason to continue watching the same episodes repedively!

Oh my God. Those were the days!!! I remember seeing all of those and thinking the same thing when I would see commercials. I'd be thinking about it for days waiting to see it to see how it turned out. It was like my soap opera at age 7. That's the only show my parents would let me stay up and watch cause they knew I would cry hysterically if they wouldn't let me. That show was my life for so many years. Such memories. happy and sad at the same time. :) :(

I'm 25, and I first remembering watching Three's Company since the 80s while I was very young. At about 5-7, but I didn't get all the adulterated jokes (naturally, being young), but I do remember all the physical comedy, and some of the roommate's plans and things they've been involved in stood out the most for the young child I was. So it's been about 18-20 years I've been watching this show. :D

I remember first paying attention to John at that age. That's what his news hurts about the most. He is the first actor I have paid attention to and noticed at a young age, other than all the PBS kids' cartoons, of course. I just love him!!! :(

I am 29. I have been watching 3's company since the early 80's. I also didn't understand the adult humor at that time but I still enjoyed the show. I just recently started watching again. Of course they seem funnier to me now because of the adult humor.

I think this thread is so cool. Everyone going back in time and remembering their childhood ( for us who have watched it when it first aired ) and having Three's be such a big part of it. We got to see it all. Not the shows that they edit now. It's great they have it on DVD now so the others they haven't seen it without editing can really see what we are talking about. How great the show was. :)

YIKES! I've got you ALL beat!! I just turned 44 and not only remember the very first airing of Three's, but I remember seeing John when he guest starred as a tennis playing minister on the Mary Tyler Moore Show and he married Ted and Georgette!! I already knew who he was when they were initially promoting the show and its one of the big reasons I wanted to tune in! I had SUCH a crush on him and was lucky enough to even date a guy who looked and acted a lot like him (the Tripper character actually).

I think its great you're all discovering the show now and can appreciate laughs dating back that long. Course if its truly a great show, the humor is timeless. Just that it was much more shocking back then to have coed roomates than it is today!

Men looked a LOT better in shorts back then too didn't they? heehee!!

I'm 35, I grew up on Three's Company too. I had a huge crush on John back in the 70's and I remember begging and pleading to stay up and watch TC one night.

I told my mother, "I can't miss it tonight, It's a very special episode. They're celebrating Mr. Roper's birthday." My mother gave in and I got my TC Tripper fix and I got to watch it.

I remember seeing him on that episode of MTM, it's one of my favorites. He was also on an episode of Rhoda I think.

Well, I dunno, I read them too, and remember the ones that barely hit the stands by pics of Brad & Jen's Romantic Getaway, and she had already filed for separation so I tend to take them with a grain!

That's probably it. I dated a southern Italian guy who wore a bit of a beard. After Sept. 11th he shaved it because he looked middle eastern he was so dark.

I've been taken for Italian, Portugese (sp?), Greek and even East Indian - and that was by a guy from Sri Lanka!!! (I tan like crazy in the summer and even my black friends love comparing skin tones then because I match them or am even darker)!! My natural hair color is almost jet black. I have blue eyes though. (I was once told that Scottish Highlanders are quite often dark haired and blue-eyed).

Yeah - we really teased him about being a terrorist (probably why he shaved!)

Wow - I wish I had the dark skin tone all year long. Actually I'm naturally really light - look like something you'd roll out from under a rock, but do tan well.

Oh brown eyes can be really pretty! Nice and mahogany and rich in color!
I have two brothers, both with dark brown hair (not as dark as mine tho) and one has blue eyes (quite blue - mine are more grey/blue) and the other has very dark brown eyes. My mom's were brown and dad's were blue, hence the dominate blue gene! :eyes2:

I'm Irish and French, I have my father's skin tone and dark hair, but my mother's red hair in highlights. I end up with a nice tan, just by walking around or floating in the pool. My eyes are hazel.

That sounds like a really nice combo! My mom and I always wanted natural red highlights in our hair! You could get Lar in a minute!! ;)

Yeah, both my parents have light blue eyes, which is where I got it from. Two of my three brothers have olive green eyes(I dunno where they got those from!!) and the other has greyish colored eyes.

I get the fair skinned, blue eyed, dark haired look from my dad :) My mom's Irish and has the fair skinned, slightly freckled, blonde features. Actually, my hair has natural strawberry blonde highlights but I dye it auburn because I'm dying to be a redhead  I guess we all want to something other than what we have.

Wow - I wish I had the dark skin tone all year long. Actually I'm naturally really light - look like something you'd roll out from under a rock, but do tan well.

Yea, I would shave that right off. Besides, I'm not very found of bears anyway, hehe.

Well, I mean I don't have dark skin really. It's just medium tan - kind of like Jennifer Lopez's skin. Actually I always thought I looked like her, but my hair is darker - and my hair is naturally curly.

Yea, I think brown eyes are pretty sometimes. But the thing that fascinates me is that if you stare into someone's eyes who are brown, it looks freaky and cold, if you know what I mean.

Aw, that's so cool. Brown hair and blue eyes is the perfect kind of guy for me.

I think we all did back then. I remember actually resenting the advertising saying "blondes have more fun"!! Honestly! I wondered what the hell I was missing out on!! I even put blonde in my hair at the front (there was a period in the 70s when that was in). Against the black it looked hidious!

I also have super -- super naturally curly hair. We're talking if I even think of humidity, it goes kinky. It's like having a head full of pubic hair!!! but I digress...

Good thing you've got the natural skintone that you can go with just about anything. Must be nice!! :p

Wow - like Lopez! You lucky dawg! That's the skintone I was picturing actually. It's like the mulatto skin. I remember when I was young I couldn't figure out why people got so freaked out about blacks and whites marrying and having children. My best friend was mulatto and I envied her skin so much! Her hair had red highlights in it though and she had the most beautiful big brown eyes. It was funny because my mom was one of the people who thought it was scandalous when there were interracial marriages, yet she thought my friend was gorgeous too! Same with another best friend I had in my 20s.

Unfortunately I can't be getting more sun. I had a small cancerous patch removed from my cheek about 4 yrs ago (no big deal tho) and developed a stupid skin condition (similar to ezcema) last year so the sun's out for me now. Thank God for better sunless tanning lotions these days. Just would like to know what the best one is.

I'm actually of Scottish, Irish, British, French and German heritage - a mutt!

(I was once told that Scottish Highlanders are quite often dark haired and blue-eyed).
That's funny that you were mistaken for Portuguese before because I'm full Portuguese, and NO ONE can tell by looking at me unless I tell them. Their jaws just drop when they find out

Yeah, it actually freaked me out because it happened only once - when I was about 27. And I could see it maybe if the guy himself had been Portuguese, but he wasn't - something Scandanavian or something strange like that!!! Maybe I just reminded him of someone he knew was Portuguese or something.

Yea, and I'd always be jealous of her big butt! I don't even know if I'd considered myself having a big butt but I don't care - I like my butt, haha! She is the only one who I think I look like the most. But she is way more beautiful. I have no problem with blacks marrying whites. I think people should marry who they really love. And I don't have a problem with blacks - except for the famous blacks who rap and stuff and have gold chains. They really annoy me.

Oh my god, cancer? Are you ok? Wow, I never knew that. I hate it when innocent get diseases and stuff - it's so sad. I'm sorry that happened to you. You know, I always get scared when I'm tanning, because I'm afraid I'm getting too much sun. But I never got a sunburn in my life. Hey - don't worry about not having a big butt! It might look great on her now, but I have a feeling as she gets older, it's gonna come back to bite her in the a$$ (so to speak)!! That's the area most women have trouble with!

Anyway, its o.k. - I probably tempted fate too much as I rarely used sunscreen because I never burn either so I figured I didn't have a problem. As it was, it was only basal cell carcinoma which is the mildest and most treatable form. Just a warning to me I figure. I still get sun now, but make sure I do wear some sunscreen and don't stay out as long as I did. It's hard to avoid when you have a nice pool in your backyard that you love using! And I do constantly check my skin over for anything new and unusual. The earlier you can catch these things, the easier and better it is to treat!

I never really used sunscreen a lot. Well actually, I think I do. I don't really remember. But I'm anxious for summer to start. I have a pool in our yard too, but it's above ground. I think it's good that you check for anything unusual because then it would be easier to treat it.

We have an inground and I practically live in it when the summers are really hot.

I had a couple of moles removed last year in November, fortunately, they were benign. I will be using sunscreen from now on.

Any pool in the summer is great! I don't know what we would do without ours - its such a big part of our social life in the summer! I throw so many noodles in that it looks like chicken soup from a plane!!

Yeah, I also have to have the inside of my mouth checked by a doctor every two months because of this stupid skin condition I have. Apparently I'm at a greater risk of oral cancers because of it. Actually, that's how they discovered what it was - I had to have a biospy of my lip done as originally we thought it was more cancer on the lip. Pain in the butt, but at least I'm o.k.!

These days the sun has changed too from what it used to be - its definitely stronger than it used to be when I was a kid and teenager. Oh well, I'll just blind people with my pasty white thighs this year!! haha!

Speaking of can't waiting until summer - we're to get another 4 - 5 inches of snow overnight and tomorrow. Meanwhile I just saw my driveway again yesterday!!

Oh I know that! And I'm pretty good with accents so I know the difference too between different states or areas (including Canada since I'm Canadian). I just have a really bad habit of picking up accents and dialics very easily so I'll be speaking to someone, and no matter what their accent is, I'll be using it myself by the end of a conversation and I'm worried they think I'm mocking them!! I'm not - its just this odd thing that happens to me!
I think the accents are cute! I spent 5 days at my aunt's in Dallas and came back with a Texas drawl and all their sayings - the works. I used to be in a pipeband with true Scotsmen. Yup - ended up with a Scottish brogue! Its crazy!

Three's Company is the greatest sitcom or TV show of ALL TIME. Nothing really comes close except maybe The Jeffersons because Sherman Hemsley was a comic genius just like John but in a different way. They were nominated for Emmy awards at the same time!

In non-sitcoms I would have said Dallas comes close but soap operas are AWFUL in reruns because it's a continuing storyline while TC has separate storylines for each show. That's why nobody really watches reruns on soaps.
