View Full Version : A "Wings" Woman For Different Tastes
pilotguy 10-09-2003, 08:57 AM While you ladies argue and hair-pull over who the best looking guy on "Wings" is, I think that the gentlemen here will agree with me that "Wings" offers female eye-candy for different male tastes:
1. For the guys who like the "pretty girl-next-door" type, there's Helen.
2. For the guys who like the "rich, classy-looking lady" type, there's Casey (especially in her first season with the show).
3. And for the guys who like the "tough, biker-babe" type, there's Alex.
Then there's Fay for the men who appreciate the more "mature" type of woman....and if they had ever had the guts to actually show "The Big-Faced Girl", I'm sure that there would have been SOME guy out there who found HER attractive as well!
See? You ladies aren't the ONLY ones who drool in front of your TV screens during "Wings"!
AngeFaitore 10-09-2003, 09:30 AM Okay, so how would you catergorize the men?
I'm just curious.
nantucket_wings 10-09-2003, 10:01 AM diddo, I would like to here what he comes up with too ... I know right now its gonna be pretty interesting and good
pilotguy 10-09-2003, 10:21 AM OK ladies, here it is:
1. Joe - The "preppy", executive type (although he never wore an actual business suit that much, he DID have that tie and very business-like "corporate" attitude).
2. Brian - The "Bad Boy" type. He's the type of guy who your parents really wouldn't want you to date, but you'd sneak out and meet him anyway! There's a certain dangerous "forbidden fruit" or "guilty pleasure" quality about Brian.
3. Lowell - Actually, Lowell has a "double-edged" appeal...He would appeal to ladies who like the "macho" kind of guy (the swagger, the tool belt, etc.), but he also has an innocent "little boy" quality that would make some women want to mother him.
4. Antonio - He would appeal to the women who are hopeless romantics (with his "beautiful lady" routine, his giving of flowers, etc.). He has a certain "continental charm" about him (but he never comes across as "sleazy").
5. Roy - While his gruff, day-to-day personality would turn most women off, Roy CAN pour on the charm and be quite the gallant gentleman when he wants to be.
Maybe I'm all wrong here, but that's how I see the "Men of WINGS"....So how did I do, ladies?
nantucket_wings 10-09-2003, 10:31 AM I think you pretty much nailed it on the head as far as I'm concerned, although ........ the thing about Brian and my dad not wanting me to date him wouldn't be true in my case, my dad has been trying to hook me up for the longest time ...
wingshock 10-09-2003, 10:48 AM Yeah, I think you're right on the money, Pilotguy. Which reminds that in real life I always told myself I should fall for "Joe" ... but kept falling for "Lowell."
Love,
Wing<><

Hmmm...I wonder how your dad would feel if you brought someone like Brian home for dinner....and during dessert, your boyfriend put coffee creamer caps over his eyes and looked around the dining room with a "Hey, everybody....look at ME!" expression on his face?

Lowell isn't really matcho, but more masochistic. I'd say that he's more kinky than anything.
Another thing that sets him apart from the other "Wings" boys is that he's blonde, while the others are brunette. There's just something about that grunge bowlcut he had during the third or fourth season...
Plus, Lowell looked sexy in a suit, even when he was ruining it.
Lowell:You want respect? Go out and buy yourself a SUIT!
Chocoholic 10-09-2003, 12:16 PM I think you got their personalitites down good, pilotguy.
I'd rather date a Brian or an Antonio :D
nantucket_wings 10-09-2003, 12:25 PM  ... for dinner, hmmmmmm well first of all dad probley read Brian his last rights because my cooking sucks that bad. and dad would probley bust out laughing at Brian because my father has great sense of humor ...

Krista2882 10-09-2003, 12:46 PM yeah pilotguy, I think you did a pretty good job of putting the guys into different catergories.
The funny thing though is that it never hit me that Joe really is the "preppy" type. Which is weird, because I don't usually go for the preppy type. lol.
and it does make a lot of sense to categorize Brian as the "bad boy" type. Which makes a lot of sense why I would choose Joe over Brian... because I do like Brian a lot- I love his goofiness... BUT I'm not usually into the "bad boy" type!
I never really paid attention to the type of guys I usually like... my brother is the one who pointed out to me what my "type" is. hahahahaha. My brother rules.

He's also sadistic....How about that great episode where Antonio accidentally slammed Lowell's hands in the hood of the cab....and Lowell's hands were bandaged so heavily that Antonio had to do EVERYTHING for Lowell (including cutting Lowell's food, feeding him, bathing him...and even "holding things" while Lowell went to the bathroom!)?
The funny part was that Lowell kept those bandages on his hands and made poor, unknowing Antonio keep helping him LONG after his hands had healed!
Chocoholic 10-09-2003, 01:09 PM That was a funny episode. Antonio was no saint himself though.

Lowell is a bit of a kink... in the episode where he and Bunnie divorced, he showed off his powerful sex drive,
He always keeps a wrench in his pocket, we don't know if he uses his coveralls as fetishwear for the ladies, he sleeps in the nude on a regular basis (hint: he's comfortable with his sexuality) and he DID have an attraction to business suits.
So, yeah, he is a bit of a kink.
If anyone is offended, I'm sorry, I'm just getting my point across.

I'm not offended by you getting your point across....but I think that you're enjoying it a little too much!

Well, at least I didn't harbor into the discriptions of Lowell chilling Cristal Champagne, lighting scented candles and using the Karma Sutra.
