David 10-07-2003, 08:22 PM what did Rory put in his shirt? luckilab1 10-07-2003, 08:27 PM A carton of eggs. Man, John Ritter was the best part of this show.. (in my opinion anyway) luckilab1 10-07-2003, 08:29 PM The clips at the end were soooo cute but sad:( HDfanLiz 10-07-2003, 08:32 PM Oh, no, it's over! I thought there would be a scene at the end, but that's it. :( Oh, well, I'll concentrate on the positive: what a wonderful episode! I really enjoyed it, one of my favorite episodes of the series. Bridget was hilarious, and I loved that hiss. :) LILFACE23 10-07-2003, 08:38 PM I can't believe he's gone. That was another tear jerker at the end. I started crying again. The way he waves his little finger and says "off you go" my heart skipped a bit and there came the tears. I miss him. LILFACE23 10-07-2003, 08:40 PM Originally posted by luckilab1 I thought it was so cute when he hissed at Cate like he used to do on Three's Company to Mr. Roper and Mr. Furley :) I thought the same thing when I saw it. It brought back some memories huh. hue_mee 10-07-2003, 08:45 PM OMG! I can't believe this was his last episode! Yes the cat hissing was great! His spying out the window reminded me of my father's doing when I was younger. Just his smile and his presense was a cheer! I loved the ending memories they showed of John and cast. I cried! Thank you John! Thank you for such precious memories! We love you and will never ever miss you! David 10-07-2003, 08:45 PM RIP John Ritter. The last clip was sad. On a positive note, it was a good episode :), despite what that stupid critic said lol. David 10-07-2003, 08:47 PM Originally posted by hue_mee OMG! I can't believe this was his last episode! We love you and will never ever miss you! cant believe this was his last episode either. On... um... Friday, its gonna be a full month after his death. That long. Already. Frischman_Fan 10-07-2003, 08:50 PM I laughed through the whole episode. The answering machine thing was so funny and what about when Donny got beat with the toilet brush!! That was funny. And the hiss brought back alot of Three's Company memories!! The ending was so sad and I can't believe that John is gone and won't be back. I'm still not over his death!!:( :( MaydayMalonesGirl 10-07-2003, 08:54 PM Originally posted by SomersCompany3 RIP John Ritter. The last clip was sad. It's just so sad that we lost such a great man. :( Lizzie McGuire 10-07-2003, 09:02 PM Yeah i saw it to it were pretty good and little funny it kind of sad in the end they show the clip in the past show. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 10-07-2003, 09:12 PM I really liked it, but I just can't believe it's John's last episode. :( southerngal 10-07-2003, 09:20 PM the end was sooooooo sad!!! it made me cry!! when i was watching all of the clips i just knew they were gonna have a big one at the end and how they showed the one with him waving goodbye with his finger was sooooo sad!!! i cant believe he is gone either....:crying: PZelda 10-07-2003, 09:43 PM I taped it, saw it and LOVED it. What a cool episode! I can't believe THAT was his final episode ever...Man, that gives me shivers...That they did it the week before he died. :crying: And I thought they were going to have like a tag scene like they do during the ending credits (Like the "Animal House" parody they had on two weeks ago), but when they started showing John Ritter bloopers during the ending credits, I KNEW that it wasn't a tag scene thing...Then when he did the finger thing...the tears started. I always get choked up every time I see "John Ritter 1948-2003", and when they did just that at the very end, the tears really started...Oh God. There will never be another new episode with him in it, ever again. :( :( benjamoon 10-07-2003, 10:12 PM It was a great episode. I was kinda disappointed by the first two because I thought they weren't as good as last year's but this was great. The "please leave a message" part was hysterical as well as the hissing. The ending clip was so sad and touching, a very nice tribute. I hope they leave it in everytime the episode reruns. Does anyone else find it sad when you think about the CHARACTERS on "8SR"? I mean, obviously the actors are sad but when I was watching Paul say "you listened to me" to Bridget at the end (which by the way was a funny moment) or when I see him with Cate in a loving scene, I keep thinking - wow, they're gonna lose their dad soon or she's gonna lose her husband soon. It might seem strange but it's a really sad feeling Crimson and Clover 10-07-2003, 10:19 PM Originally posted by luckilab1 I thought it was so cute when he hissed at Cate like he used to do on Three's Company to Mr. Roper and Mr. Furley :) That was cute. (hahaha that was my favorite one next to the Motown one) I can't believe they just forgot all about it. But besides that....awesome!! ****/***** HDfanLiz 10-08-2003, 12:20 PM Originally posted by *GoodMorningCalgary* Excellent episode! the best one out of the 3. but did I miss something or did they forget to finish the mystery of the "Neibourhoodlum"? I mean it was obviously Rory, but he was never caught! Do you think that was possibly the ending segment and they decided to air John Ritter clips instead? Probably not, though. Adamantium 10-08-2003, 04:40 PM The funniest part of the show for me was when Paul grabbed the toilet brush and Cate said "You're using that as a weapon?" and Paul replied "Well would you want to be touched by this?" Of course me typing it doesn't do the joke justice, but to hear that line come from John Ritter is the best. So in syndication, we'll go from this episode one day to his death episode the next. At least he went out on a high note. That was one of the funniest episodes of the whole series. It would have been nice to have both Tommy and Kyle in Paul's last episode, though. I was laughing the whole episode to where I forgot that John is no longer with us. But then at the end, I lost it. In a way, it's hard to think of John Ritter and be sad. It's sad that he's dead, but whenever I see him, I'm always laughing. I was even laughing during the ending credits, up until the last part with the 2 dates. I, too have been thinking about how the Hennessey's are going to lose Paul. It's sad to think that Bridget, Kerri and Rory will no longer have a dad. I wonder what Kate will do. I mean in the pilot, Paul took over watching the kids while Cate went back to work. So now what will she do? It's all just very sad. southerngal 10-08-2003, 06:31 PM that is true, i didnt think about how in the show they dont know that their dad and husband are going to die like "the next day". but i wonder how they are going to do it because you know, they cant show him in the beginning like holding his chest like he is having a heart attck or something, i guess theyll either start out with the death and them finding out or whatever, i dont know. |
