View Full Version : Nannyfine - Honest & Reliable!!
nannyfan 10-06-2003, 10:27 PM I have recent "transactions" with "Nannyfine" and I have to say that I'm very pleased with the outcome! She kept me posted throughout the entire transaction as to the status of my tapes and provided a tracking number when the tapes were shipped. I haven't received the tapes yet because they are enroute....however, I'm confident they will be great when they arrive.
I am new to this site and I have read through hundreds of postings to find out who is most reliable to deal with. Nannyfine had tons of positive things said about her - and from what I can tell, all well deserved.
Thanks, Jamie!! For the excellent communication and your effort toward getting these hard to find tapes to me!!
;) Anyone who is considering a transaction with Nannyfine, rest assured she will keep you posted on the status of your trade and provide tracking information once it has been shipped!!!
Getalifeboy 10-06-2003, 11:43 PM Who are you Nanny's sister??????

Getalifeboy 10-07-2003, 09:33 AM I love the little disclaimer you have on your page!! It is funny...I actually am a lawyer and that disclaimer would not do you any good only because the bottom line is you would be breaking the law!!
Let's say you are a hitman!! And you made a potential customer sign a disclaimer saying..."By signing this you are saying your'e not a member of any law enforcement agency, CIA, FBI, you are not even Military Police!! And then they bust you....Do you think that paper would hold up in court?? LOL!!
Anyway the thing is with copywrited materials is you really have NOTHING to worry about. The FBI does NOT run around looking for flaming tape copyers!! THe only way there is a bust on videos is when the Copywrite owner goes after the seller. THe copywrite owner might have a agency gather evidence...and then the FBI STILL probably won't bother with it!!!
A guy here in New Jersey was Selling Frank Sinatra bootlegs out of his basement...The Sinatra family went nuts for a year complaining..They gathered evidence and busted the guy who was in his basement making tapes wearing a Sinatra shirt!!
THe Motion Picture Association of America does not allow selling of their movies and they aggresively battle it!! So stay clear of old blue eyes..And movies that are in theaters and you will avoid trouble!!
nannyfan 10-07-2003, 02:12 PM I have only just "met" her since I registered on this site. I am a big fan of The Nanny sitcom which is why I chose the screen name I have.
I just wanted people to know that she is a good person to trade with. Someone recently aired a greivance on this site and I believe they should have saved it for private email. Apparently, they wanted to continue the damage by replying to my post. Fortunately, they were professional and edited out their comments.
I am new to this site and new to trading tapes. I think this is a wonderful forum for those who wish to share common interests in sitcoms.
I am happy to serve as a reference for Nannyfine for those who wish to trade with her. This is very simply all I wish to confer.
Getalifeboy 10-07-2003, 02:37 PM Well like I said I cant complain...I did not read the gripe...But I know some tape traders expect DVD quality as if that is possible!! and they get all bitchy..
The Maude tapes I got were not DVD quality but she never promised that ..and I did not expect it..They were very watchable tapes and as she described...
If you bitchers want DVD quality shows get yourself a DVD recorder and do it yourself...I am grateful that I was able to get these Maude tapes TVLand stopped running it by the time it came on my cable system and there is really no hope of it repeating again anytime soon...So thank goodness for Nanny as far as I am concerned!!

i dont know what you mean by damaging, there never was never anything damaging said,I told her to forget about because IT had been 9 monthes.
there is really nothing else to say,
Did you even read the post???
It said email was full
she said she would email,on 9-12,and never did,so 2 weeks later i told her to forget it,I dont know why you are stirring the pot here.
Good for you, you got your tapes,I guarentee,no one will ever post a complaint about me.
My tapes never got done, and no one will ever know if they did, well apparently she said they were done but needed my address, but I got a box today with 10 blank tapes, and only 6 of the episodes I was due to get out of 50,but atleast I got blanks.
nannyfan 10-07-2003, 08:50 PM You have a very long post that anyone can read...yes, I've read it. It is a negative post that is damaging to one's reputation. Is it your intent to reply to any post regarding Nannyfine in the future?? You told her in your post you have taped the shows you wanted yourself. Is it your intention to continue to restate your gripes over and over again?? Here's an idea....if you wish to continue to gripe about Nannyfine, why don't you bump your message back up to the top and see if anyone wants to get on your negative bandwagon? Otherwise, if you can't say something nice, you should stay off other's postings. Clearly if anyone was interested in continuing your dialog, they would have posted to your post and it would still be at the top???
Agent 13 10-07-2003, 09:12 PM I have absolutely no complaints against Nanny Fine whatsoever, quite the contrary. If I'm not mistaken, she even has a rating of something like 800 with PayPal, and that says a lot in itself. Jamie was wrong and has not only admitted that fact but tried to make restitution.

Besides the blanks tapes and 6 episodes (of the 50 she'd planned on making), she also sent him back the set of Wonder Years he'd sent her, which she couldn't have copied for herself before shipping them because the decision to mail them to him was on the spur of the moment, shortly after Matt expressed his aggravation with the situation. If more time had lapsed, I would doubt the truth of this.
I admire her for being honest about the situation, rather than denying the facts as I've seen others do when confronted.
On Monday I mailed Nanny Fine ten tapes, without a flinch I might add. Thank you, Jamie!

Getalifeboy 10-08-2003, 01:10 AM For whatever it is worth...I would not think twice about dealing with Nanny again if she had something I wanted..
I am glad there are people out there having there VCR's running all the time..It makes me feel better in case I miss something!!
I dont think you were sent six episodes on ten tapes on purpose..Only a total scammer would do something like that deliberately..THINK ABOUT IT!! HAD TO BE A HONEST MISTAKE RIGHT?? There is only one answer to that question..YES!!
jasoncole 10-08-2003, 03:38 AM if anyone goes back through this board and checks for nannyfine you wont find anything else negative
