Last I heard "Come and Knock on Our Door" will air next Tuesday, 10/14. According to Jim will air 10/21, two new episodes, at 8pm and 9pm. I think the pilot of 8SR will air on 10/28. Then possibly the one hour episode where Paul dies on 11/4. 10/28 and 11/4's episodes are not official yet.

What's this "Come and knock on our Door"? Is it one of the episodes from 8SR? Does anyone know how they're having Paul die on T.V.? Will it be the same way as he did in real life?

Yes, episode 16 from last season. The one with the Three's Company spoof.

That schedule looks great. "Come and knock at our door' was one of the series best episodes and the pilot aired so long ago, it will be like watching a new episode.

Won't it be wierd, watching the past and present T.V. life of John knowing he'll never walk through those doors again. My God, it's so depressing.

What other people died in the shows you were watching. Until John Ritter's death, I have to be honest, I really didn't pay attention.

Trevor Goddard of Jag died of a drug overdose and Lynne Thigpen of the District died suddenly last spring. Goddard was no longer on Jag although they had a clip honoring him on the season premiere. The District wrote Thigpens death into the show having her die in a car accident. That was a hard episode to watch. I've been a John Ritter fan for years so his death was a complete shock. Its just been a sad year.:(

Wow. I don't watch those shows, but I'm also a huge John Ritter fan so I know how you feel losing all those people. Isn't strange watching them on T.V. knowing there really not here anymore? It is for me. I really wonder how his wife and kids are dealing with this. I wish they would have something about them. Not to be nosy or rude, just to know that they're okay. Know what I mean. I wonder if his wife has any clue that his fans are still upset and she's not alone in feeling that. I wish I could send her a hug.

How old were the people that died? I mean was it unexpected like John's death? Either way, it's just sooooo sad. The way people come and go in life and make such a lasting impression. It's also a shame that only after they go, people realize who they were and what their life was with this person in it. I took for granted watching 8SR, allthough I never missed Three's Company's reruns for nothing. Now I wish I would've seen them all.:( :( :( :(

OOps. My mistake about asking if the deaths were unexpected, I just reread what you wrote and saw there was a drug overdose involved. How old was he? Did he have a family?

I was in tears watching the John Ritter marathon on tv land a few weeks ago and thats unusual for me. I can now watch his shows again and laugh some but I;m sure when they start airing the show without John, it will hit me again. I'm sure his wife knows how his fans feel at least I hope she does.

How hard it's gotta be for them, and then to try and it get past it and continue the show. I wish them the best of luck and hope they'll be okay doing it. Lynne Thigpen was 54. They were both unexpected. Lynne died of a heart attack in her sleep. They weren't the main stars of the shows but Lynne was probably the heart and soul of the District. She was the person the cast went to with there troubles. The District has made a point of keeping her memory alive. They show her empty office, shown a picture of her and last week even had her voice used as the program ended. That was eery. Jag never adressed Goddards death other then the clip at the end of the premiere because he had already left the show.

Wow, how sad to show her empty office. She really must of touched everyone's life on the show for them to keep doing that. Aren't you sad everytime they do that? I wonder if they'll do that with John on 8SR. I hope so in away, but then again, it might be too sad to see.

Back in the 60's they probably would have just recast the character.

Exactly. "Bewitched" did that with Gladys Kravitz. The actress died after two seasons, and they just brought in another actress to take over the same role. Maybe it's just me, but I find that disrespectful to the late actress.

When Phil Hartman was murdered, that shocked me. "NewsRadio" was and is my favorite show. And it wasn't nearly as good after his death. His character died of a heart attack, and they did a memorial episode for him. In an unreleated matter, John Ritter guest starred in an early episode of "NewsRadio".

Episode 16, "Come and Knock on Our Door" will be indeed reairing next Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m.
On Oct. 21, a new episode of "According to Jim" will air for this night only. On Oct. 28, the classic Halloween special, "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" will air this night.

Then in November, 8 Simple Rules returns with new episodes. Either Nov. 4 or 11, as of now. If it's the 11th, expect the reairing of pilot on the 4th. Stay tuned...
