Jo: Double Standard (it shows her tough side but also her sensitive side)
Blair: From the 1st season, where she thinks her mom is going to date another parent (i don't know the ep's name), because it shows her feeling unlucky because of her beauty (that's a switch!!)
Natalie: when she tells everyone she's not going to go to Princeton when she graduates (i don't know why i think it's her "ultimate" episode, but i just do. lol)
Tootie: the one where she spread gossip about everyone, including Ms. G, Nancy, and Blair...that ep was hysterical!!

------------------
Blair: Another brilliant idea just popped into my head.
Jo: Oh, don't scare it! It's a lonely place up there.

I know that Jo's best episode(s) was Taking A Chance on Love Part I & II. I absolutely loved that storyline..Jo fell in love with her 30 year old photography teacher.

In this episode, FANS got a FULL dose of Jo. Not just the reserved "tough girl" side but the softer, sweet, and sensitive side with a touch of innocence. For once Jo didn't hold herself back because of fear..she was much more daring and willing to take risks.

I think Blair's "ultimate" episode was a two part at the very end of FOL..The Beginning of the End/The Beginning of the Beginning.

Blair is so much more than a shallow, rich, snob..she really cares about people and she stands up for what she believes in. This theory was put to the test when she learns that Eastland will close it's door due to lack of funding. Blair is also faced with not getting her father's support (1st time he's said no to her) so she must decide her future. She was planning on opening up her own law office with her inheritance but she chose to buy to school. That took guts and a great deal of maturity. She took it upon her self to be solely responsible for future and she didn't use her looks or her father's money to get her there.

Natalie's ultimate episode has to be "The First Time" where she has sex with Snake.

I can't really identify a specific ultimate episode for Tootie because I don't think the writers really developed her character fully. Most people think of her as the gossipy drama queen who overeacts to things but that's not completely fair because she was a very loyal and true friend to the others.
During the later seasons..6-9..Tootie's character was stronger..still not as strong as Jo/Blair. Tootie had to face dealing with her Illiterate boyfriend in Price of Glory.
She also matured a lot because during most of the show..she always wanted the girls to be together but she soon realized that life goes on for each of them even if they must part ways. I think of Nat's trip to NY and deciding to stay in SoHo..where Nat helped Tootie understand why she wanted to stay in SoHo and how it would help her write.
All in all..Tootie ended up engaged to Jeff and she got accepted to that acting school in the end.

Okay..I talk too much..

Bye!!
