Is this what she left Disney for...cause I really think it's a degrading look for a freshly:eek: 16 year old. Maybe cute little Hilary could have atleast waited to hit 18...! Are they making her a teenage sex symbol?

Why...?

Yeah, and she's not showing off her stomach (not this time around), which is pretty common among teen girls today.

Yeah, she looks ridiculous to me...not so much skanky. She is pretty much covered up, which I give her some credit for. I'm almost 16 and I, personally, wouldn't be seen in that....but then again...I'm the girl who wears jeans, t-shirts, and her converses.

theres nothing wrong with the pic...im not saying she looks good because personally I am not the biggest fan of hers, but in the picture there is nothing skanky about it

ive worn much shorter skirts:D

ohno: All i think is she is trying to look waay older than 16. It isn't so much What shes wearing it's how shes wearing it. If that makes sense. JMO.

I don't know, she looks good in that picture, but maybe it's because she looks a little too much like Britney.

She looks fine. I wore shorter shirts at her age.

The hair is pretty much the current style that many people are wearing right now. The make-up is heavy, but also stylish.

Sixties fashions are much of what we are seeing right now. Skirts were short, make-up was heavy, and hairstyles were often long and "messy."

And yes, young girls wore the styles. Twiggy was only 16-17 when she was the top "mod" model.

I didn't say she looked skanky,I was immediately talking about her hair which I personally thinks looks disgraceful...that's what I meant, now I think Hilary is a pretty girl and her sweet girl look was both sexy and suitable...let's wait a couple of years before they turn her into Madonna

Now would you prefer the look above or this one...i pick this one,her hair is combed and her make up is light

That sounds more like 70's and 80's fashion to me,my mother graduated high school in 64' and her pictures looked nothing like that.

You need to look at the late 60s. Hippies and Beatles, etc. Lots and lots of miniskirts, makeup, and long, long hair.

You are acting as if she dresses and does her hair like that everyday. The MTV Diary camera's were following her that day. She was even complaining that the dress was too short, and she didn't want to do some specific facial expressions, and poses.

Oh please, I see much worse girls between 12-15 at malls dressed like little ho's. Theyre not even fully developed yet and theyre already wearing the cleavage bearing shirts.. if you aint got it.. aint much too flaunt! I think Hilary looks good in those pics.. not to mention thats for a photo shoot. I dont think she goes around shopping in a bra and thong! Just because she dressed a little bit more 'mature' doesnt make her sleazy.

I barely know who she is. Several of the responders here stated that they don't much like her, but see nothing wrong with her appearance in the picture. You shouldn't make assumptions.

As far as the "why" of it all... I ask: "Why not?"

She looks clean and is not displaying anything considered to be "private" and/or immodest.

She didn't do the ones she did not agree with. Then the photographer told her to "relax, and do whatever ones you want," or something of that nature. I guess she liked that pose, and went ahead with it.

On Good Day Live, she discussed that photoshoot, and said that she was uncomfortable at times with the skirt because it was too windy to wear one. The FEMALE photographer took the pictures, and made sure everything stayed in place.

IMO, the skirt isn't even that short. It's has a fair length. Oh, and she did the photoshoot for her CD cover, and booklet. I don't think those pictures made it in though. I'm not sure... I haven't seen her CD booklet.

If she wasn't comfortable wearing the skirt, she should have come out and said something. Otherwise, she is being a puppet, and doing what everyone tells her to do.

I don't get it. She looks fine. Her hair and clothes look fine. She's also not a puppet for wearing assigned clothes for a photo shoot. Models wear what they're told...actors take direction and have to wear certain clothes in movies...it's all part of the game.
It's not as if she was forced to pose nude.

I'm trying to figure out if you're against the idea of teenage sex symbols* or not. (mentioned in your original post)
Your av says you're watching Raven "grow older & sexier".

Anyway, to answer the question- I barely know who she is. Never seen her show. I guess some may say her skirt is *slightly* too short, but she doesn't look to me like she's this big disgrace as described.

...First of all Raven is an adult plus sexy is defined as alot more than a compliment of a body type, and secondly I'm not raising Hilary, but she is in the eye of the public and if I wanna critique her as a consumer...I will.

Am I against teenage sex symbols...yes as in girls under the age of 17 I don't care what anybody says that's exploitation. As far as Hilary Duff goes as a man I think her hair looks straight tacky on that picture and she doesn't look comfortable on as opposed to how she usually looks in pictures...anyway everyone has their own way of looking at the pic but I think it looks bad.

I guess some may say her skirt is *slightly* too short, but she doesn't look to me like she's this big disgrace as described.
As again you never heard me say anything about her clothes I only commented on her hair and the way she looks in the picture which looks uncomfortable.

Just because you have a perverted, and 24/7 sexual thinking mind doesn't mean all of us are like that. Has Hilary Duff ever said or labeled herself as a sex symbol?, She's not even doing anything to suggest "sex symbol."

It's all in your head, and the eye of the beholder.

Exactly!! Shes being paid to wear that outfit.. its her job. Just like many of us have uniforms to wear at work.. dont like them, but you gotta wear them anyways. If she refused to do nothing and always had to have her way, she wouldnt have a job.

From my experience with people, I've found that when someone finds fault with another's appearance for no apparent or logical reason, it's usually based in jealousy.

Either they could never look as good as that person or they could never have that person or someone in that league interested in them.

When I posted that she should have said no to posing in a skirt she wasn't comfortable in, I thought I had some logic behind it. I still do, but everyone else's points make sense too. I guess we're all allowed our own thoughts.

By the way, I am only jealous of the status that she's achieved through acting. I couldn't care less about how I look compared to her.

Jsizzle, you're only ganging up on her because you'll do anything to sway people to choose Raven Symone over Hilary. This isn't a contest to see who picks who. Her hair looks fine, and she is fully clothed, like others have said. So what's the problem, again? If you wanto to bash her, fine, it's not my problem. But stop bitching and moaning about how horrible she looks. You're not going to change anyone's mind because of one photo. So either stop your pathetic posts or fake another death. :thumbsdow

Uh, I never said that in my post. My point was that when you voice an opinion, you nag and nag and nag so you could sway people to your side. If you just presented your opinion and left it, then this thread wouldn't be here. I never once said that Hilary was wonderful and shouldn't be "talked about in such a manner." I said I didn't see anything wrong with that photo. Nice to know when you don't understand a post, you veer off topic and turn into a complete dumbass.

Ok, people. Just calm down, would you? There's nothing wrong with stating an opinion, whether you agree with it or not. It's no big deal. All that J was trying to say was basically that she looks different, and maybe it took her by surprise. She has changed a lot, especially with the hair (Please note that I said nothing about the clothes).

So to wrap it up, just let people state their opinions and don't jump all over it. We're all different people and we more than likely have different opinions.

I've seen worse. I've seen better. Like the picture she's wearing where she's wearing pink and her make-up is light, I like that one. But the first pic compared to the second pic, she needs to comb her hair and take off a little- scratch that, a LOT- of eyeliner. I mean look at it! Half of her face- I'm exaggerating here ino- is BLACK EYELINER! o well w/e I'm not the make-up artist, nor do I wanna be.
