He has a no-trade clause, you mean. I thought it was a big mistake when the Padres traded Greg Vaughn after the 1998 season in which he hit 50 home runs. His career has gone downhill since.

Okay, no-trade clause. But hes been in the majors for 10 years and with the Braves 5+ (all of those 10 years actually), so they call him a 10/5 player...

if the Braves weren't to offer him anything next year, but another team wants Javy (who vetos the trade), the Braves keep him, right?
