I guess I was 13. I used to watch Tracy Ullman just for it.

I used to love them on The Tracey Ullman Show. I guess that means I've watched The Simpsons, one way or another, since 1987. I used to refer to them as "the yellow cartoons."

I have been watching them since 1993, I was 5. For a while when I was 8 I stopped, but then when I turned 12, I fell back in love with them.

earliest i remember is i had just moved into my new house at around 8 or 9 years old. every thursday at 8, me and my brother would crowd in front of the TV to watch it. after a while, we had church people come talk to us on Thursdays at 8. i remember them asking my dad if we wanted wednesday or thursday nights and my dad said thursday. after they left, i asked him why and he said he didn't want to miss home improvement. i was so angry. we didn't even have a working VCR. so, to appease us, my dad bought a VCR and a blank tape to tape the simpsons on thursday night. now, i have the first three seasons on DVD and watch every night i can.

it's kind of weird, i can remember fox hyping up this new show called the simpsons when i was about 7 years old. i didnt know anything about it, had never seen the tracy ullman show but remembered me and my sister HAD to watch it, maybe because it was the first primetime cartoon. it's funny, when i look back on it now i remember how when the show started me and my friends all kind of looked up to bart, to kids who hadnt hit the double digits yet he was the defenition of cool. then as time went on and i got into my later teens bart kind of brought out the kid in me, it was almost like reminiscing. that's the great part about cartoons, as you get older the characters don't have to.

SEVEN YEARS LATER!
My brother and my older sis and I watched it once and then i watched it again. It was EXTREMELY FUNNY!!!!!

My cousin was babysitting me, and one of the early season episodes was on. I remember my Uncle got a little mad because she was watching it when we were younger kids.

while I was never a huge fan in the 90's (like I said, at the age, I think a lot of the satire was over my head), I do remember watching Simpsons Roasting Over An Open Fire when it premiered in December 1989. It really was a moment that changed television because back then, there was no such thing as "adult cartoons", the only cartoons on back then were Saturday morning ones, and shows like Ducktales and Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers that aired in the weekday afternoons.

I watched it when it first premiered in December 1989. I remember "The Simpsons Christmas" debuted first -- that was the premiere episode. It also came out to video directly therafter and the Simpsons craze hit in 1990 - I remember that REALLY well. So, I've been watching it for almost 15 years now. :)

I've been watching since the Tracy Ulman days, and a lot of that time it was "under-the-table" - in that my mom kept insisting it was "adult humor, not for us" and "you may think you get the jokes..." We still snuck around on Sundays/Thursdays, until during a vacation to England, mom decided we were old enough, and we've watch ever since.

To this day, my mom still teases me about acting like Homer. In fact, last Christmas, the family bought me a life size singing/dancing animated sculpture of Homer. It stands in my apartment to this day.

I cant remember how old i was but the first episode i saw was one of the early ones when the animation wasn't as good as it now,and it was when something happened with Homer and he couldn't buy good presents, something along the lines of that.I remember it vaguely.
Well the point is,after watching it a few more times,i loved it,and then the animation got better, and i was hooked.

I've been watching it since it started originally on the Tracy Ullman show. I was pretty little. I'd say 4 or 5. I can't believe it's still on!

I cant even remember for the life of me. I think some kids in school, when I was in the first grade, were talking about not being allowed to watch; so I put it on one night to see what the big deal was, since my parents didn't care if I watched it or not, and since then, I was watching it all the time.

I never saw the shorts on THE TRACEY ULLMAN SHOW, but I did see the first
airing of THE SIMPSONS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL (a.k.a. "Simpsons Roasting on an
Open Fire"), in 1989. Let's see ... I must have been 42 then. Never dreamed it
would still be on the air sixteen years later!

I remember I would watch 60 Minutes with my Mom before it came on. This would have been around 94 or 95 when I started watching it.
