Richie's girlfriend for MOST of the series was Loribeth ...

Richie's girlfriend was Loribeth but in earlier episodes it was Arlene and then Gloria who was played by Linda Purl who later came back to the show as Fonzie's girlfriend Ashley:crazy: Give me a break!:rolleyes:

All of Richie girlfriends and dates and female names, like Lori Beth, Gloria, and Arlene. He once dated that tall girl Phillis. Also in the episode "Richie's Cup Runneth Over". Richie and Potise got drunk at a bachelor party, and a girl who popped of a cake named Verna Laverne drove him home. So could your professor's middle name be Vern?

Lori Beth was played by Lynda Goodfriend. LB was Richie's girlfriend from 1977-1980 (& later wife after Ron Howard left the show in '80 & went 2 Greenland as part of the Army, same w/Ralph). Richie & LB corresponded while he was away. They got married & had Richie Jr. about the time Joanie & Chachi started singing. Richie came back for a few episodes in 1983-84.
