the scene where joe and brian are bragging to helen in the office about makeovering the coach- with the guys not knowing hes dead - true comedy

Okay, the title of the episode conjures up some mental images of the Wings boys dressin'
drag.
There's just something about Joe in a poofy pink prom dress...

This episode is actually one of my least favorites...
I think it was the fact that they dressed up a dead guy in drag... it would have been funnier if he wasn't dead. lol

Speaking of "dead" humor, the first time I watched these "Wings" episodes, I remember how the earliest episodes really had you believing that Roy's wife was dead...and Roy would make these tasteless comments like "Oh well, what the hell difference does it make? She's dead now anyway!" and go about his business.
The first time I saw these episodes and Roy made cracks like that, I would cringe...and you can hear the studio audience groaning instead of laughing as well.
However, after seeing later episodes where you find out that Roy's ex-wife ISN'T dead, but rather divorced, remarried and living a wealthy lifestyle in Boston, it puts a whole new slant on those early "dead" jokes....NOW when I watch one of those early episodes and Roy makes a "dead" crack, I find it funny instead of tasteless (but first I had to know that the ex-Mrs. Biggins was still alive and kicking!).

inconceivable!
I can't believe that someone could actually not dig this ep.
shocking !
The one thing I missed in Wings, throughout the series, was black humour, thank god there were exceptions...(this ep, Lowell's marvellous story about uncle stucked in the weel...heh...luv it)

I love this episode too, although I couldn't picture Joe going along with that prank.
Anyone who would call Wings "bland and inoffensive" obviously never watched the show. I think they had quite a bit of black humor, this episode being a prime example.

The scene with Helen & the guys in the office was definitely FUNNY! I mean, that wasn't my favorite episode, but that one scene was such a hoot! :D
Love,
