Limbaugh decided to call it quits from all the controversy that was created from his comments about Mcnabb.

No offense, I don't see the big deal in what he said.

I wonder why he quit so fast? He should also remember that given all of his air time he is the "Media".

Rush Limburgh was usually heard on WABC and on ESPN Radio at the time and he quit his job. I used to watch his own talk show on the old Kingston's WTZA-TV, Channel 62 back in the mid-90's.

You let someone ask who was the last white running back or who was the last white this or white that then that would be wrong as well.....

I just dont know why he had to implicate race in the thing, just say McNabb is over rated and end it. He would have been fine there. The media doesnt hesitate to talk about black QB's that are bad, Kordell and whoever else.

But he shouldnt lose his job over it. But pretty much any white person who implicates race in sports is finished. Jimmy the Greek, Al Campanas, but Dusty Baker can blab on all he wants.

He DIDN'T LOSE his job over it. He QUIT. He quit because, for all his tough talk, he didn't have the courage of his twisted convictions to stay and fight. Instead he had to run back to his safe little cubby hole of a radio station where he will always be unopposed and unchallenged.

One problem with Rush Limbaugh is that he has absolutely NO identity outside of his controversial politics. He couldn't just comment on the player's performance; he had to bring some "evil affirmative action plan" into it because he can't have an opinion on anything that's not conservative politics.

Then he gets upset when he finds out that everyone in the whole world are not dittoheads and may have to actually defend something he says in a balanced debate. So, now he returns back to his safe little world where he can screen his callers and tune out his opponents.

Come to think of it, is Rush Limbaugh even relevant anymore?

I agree, he should've stuck around and defended himself.

After standing behind him ESPN has changed its tune. THe first 15 minutes of his old show was devoted to saying how wrong he was and how he didnt fit in. What a joke, all the hosts had a chance to call him on it and none did, now a week later they take shots at him.

It's funny, Rush said that he must have been telling the truth or everyone wouldn't have gotten so angry. Now, let's analyze that statement; according to its "logic" no one would ever get angry about any accusation as long as it's a lie.

Now let's look at Rush's actions. He immediately quit a supposed dream job for saying something that he believes was not wrong and has no reason to apologize for. Well, call me confrontational, but if I was reprimanded for saying something that I was absolutely CERTAIN was not wrong or racist, I would be inclined to try to stay and defend it. If I was fired, I'd be inclined to appeal the decision and exercise my legal rights. Maybe deep down, Rush was just a little too ashamed of himself to defend his convictions to anyone but a bunch of mindless dittoheads on the air. If anyone seems unsure about his convictions, it's Rush.

Rush is annoying, he generalizes way too much, everyone does or you would never get to make a point. I think he would rather quit than be fired, wouldnt you? It makes him look better to walk away than to get his butt fired! I hear that they are replacing Rush with Louis Farrakhan!

My gosh you have a lot of pure hatred for the man. Did it ever enter your mind that maybe Rush had enough sense to quit because he wanted the focus to stay on SPORTS, and not him? He didn't want to turn ESPN into a political arena, so he just completely quit.

Haha, McNabb did bad last Sunday, and again a few games ago. Lol, it's hillarious how you get scolded for speaking the truth these days...

As a side-note, Mr, Limbaugh can't win now:

If McNabb does good: See, that moron Rush doesn't know what he's talking about! McNabb has a lot of courage to be able to continue and do well in spite of the personal attacks by Rush Limbaugh.

If McNabb does bad: It's all because Rush Limbaugh destroyed his confidence! Rush should be silenced and not allowed on radio anymore because....he...uh...destroyed someone's career, yeah!

Mega-dittos, Rush; good luck, and come back soon!

WELL I WOULD HATE TO ASK YOU HOW FAR THE STORE WAS....YOU WOULD TELL ME ACROSS THE STREET WHEN ITS REALLY 50 MILES AWAY. FARRAKAN SAYS AND BELIEVES WHAT HE BELIEVES AND USES RELIGION TO SUPPORT HIS CAUSE. NOT SAYING THAT I AGREE BUT RUSH IS JUST STATING HIS OPINION...WITHOUT ANY FOLLOWERS OR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS BEHIND HIM.

At a base level they are opposites if you assume that Rush is racist because Louis is a black racist, so they are opposites. Rush apparently said what he believed, which is his opinion, and Louis says his opinion - so they are the same.

The question was not whether McNabb was good or bad, it was whether race was a factor. I know it's difficult for conservatives with one dimensional minds to comprehend this distinction, but please try. Maybe McNabb is not that good, but the part about his being given special treatment because he is an African American had absolutely no evidence behind it and was purely a product of Rush's paranoid racist mind.

Well, it's a little different now. He might have quit because he knew his days of being a druggie were coming to an end and he'd soon be put away.

Your ability to comprehend what people say is lacking, which is not a good thing when discussing subjects of this nature. If you did understand it, then you have twisted it to make an ill-founded point, and in doing so are flat out wrong. Rush never said anything about "Special treatment". He said that the Liberal media wanted black athletes to play better than McNabb was. There's no "special treatment" anywhere. Little of what he said actually had to do with McNabb, as he was focusing on the (Obviously) Liberal-biased media.

It's always a good move to turn the tables and make a distinction without a difference.

Rush's role was supposed to be to comment on aspects of the sport, not to speculate on an imaginary liberal conspiracy for African Americans. Sorry, ConservativeBuller; Rush is nothing but a drug addicted loser.
