Hi,

i would love to know what everybody thinks about the college years. I would like to know did you love it or hate and Why?

i 4 1 liked it is was not better then High school, but was alot better the JR. High. i hated jr high years. But what would have mad the college years the best was if the took Lisa to college. Lisa was in JR. High and high school with Zach & Screech. Why not college?

anyway what do you think of the college years?

I didn't think that Kelly's return was necessary. I liked the first episode because it seemed like a departure from the original series' format. But when Kelly came back, it was like they were in high school all over again.

I have to disagree! I think the return of Kelly was the turning point of the series. It was just lacking without her and America needed for Kelly and Zack to be back in each others arms! This set up the wedding finale. Possibly one of the greatest episodes of all time!! I loved it when they showed flashbacks to their school years. That did get me a little choked up.:(

 WHAT R YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT KELLY WAS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE COLLEGE YEARS. IF ANY THING THEY SHOULD HAVE TOOK SLATER OUT OF THE SHOW AND BROUGHT A NEW GUY IN.

BUT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST WAS IF THEY HAD ONLY TOOK:

ZACH, LISA AND SCREECH AND BROUGHT 3 NEW KIDS IN. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GEART COLLEGE SPIN-OFF. BECAUSE ZACH LISA AND SCREECH HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR EVER: JR HIGH, HIGH SCHOOL. LISA SHOULD HAVE WENT TO COLLEGE.

BUT I THINK KELLY WAS GOOD:D AND SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN SLATER OUT OF THERE.

Come on TommyD!!!! Get rid of Slater!!! Are you nuts! He was the backbone of the College Years!!! That would be like booting Mr Belding from the earlier episodes. Mario Lopez was an intrigral part of the show.

They should have booted Mike Golic!!! and put Belding in his place!! or given him a Deans position.

i think that Lisa should have been in the college year because i would have loved to see Lisa snake on Alex.:D

Also: Kelly was great in the college years:wave:

I agree with TommyD. Slater limited the show in so many ways, primarily in his lack of acting skills. Is there any wonder that he hasn't found a steady gig since the show ended? If you ask me, he's the main reason The College Years didn't last.

Come on Thrill! Get real. Mario Lopez has had an excellent acting career following SBTB. He has by far done more than the rest of the cast!! I mean Kelly and Zack are now in primetime but Slater has 3x as many gigs as they have had. The main reason the college years did not last was due to the fact that america was not ready for SBTB in primetime! and due to the fact that Mike Golic was on the show! God was his acting ever horrible. He should have stuck to football!!! Mr. Belding was also a missing catalyst that could have launched the College years into emmy contention.

WHATEVER Maxamillion

KELLY IS TO IS THE ONLY ON THE SHOW THAT HAS DONE THE MOST WORK AFTER SAVED BY THE BELL END.

SHE HAD A LOT OF MOVIES, SHE WAS ON 90210, SHE IS STILL DOING THINGS. SHE IS MORE FAMES THE SLATER:mad

I agree Tommy but Slater laid the ground work for Kelly and Zack to make it big. He carried the show and is responsible for the rest of cast being what they are today!! See the problem is that showbiz does not like the Latino community and tries to hold them down!!

The characters proved to be too one dimensional to watch when they're in college.

The College Years would have been better if Lisa was on it, Alex was boring as shyt!! I wish she was there instead of her!

College years was good I liked it,but it did not make sense. Zack was supposed to go to a college at Stamford.

Slater was supposed to go to Iowa, Remember the episode where Slater was afraid to tell his dad he was going to Iowa and Zack said tell him about Iowa, and his dad says was about Iowa, and Slater says I O W A Zack 10 bucks can you pay him.

Jesse and Lisa were going to go to College in New York. Zack said I will come down every weekend and visit.

Screech says I will be at Cal without a Pal.

I initially didn't care for it, but it really grew on me over time. It's just a different beast from the original series. While it's still far from being realistic, it's not quite the cheesy, extremely artificial, bright "neon everything" world of the original. It's definitely more mature, but this is to be expected as the gang was no longer in high school and this was a prime time show. The show and the characters were forced to grow up a little. But it never really feels quite right without Lisa and Jessie there. The gang isn't complete. But it's still a good show and certainly better than The New Class IMO, despite the ironic fact that TNC lasted A LOT longer. It's really a shame TCY only lasted 18 episodes(and well, a made-for-tv movie as well). I would have liked to have seen where the show would have gone in later seasons.

BTW, I don't think it's fair to compare the "Jr. High Years" to the original series, because as we all know, that wasn't truly Saved by the Bell. That was Good Morning, Miss Bliss. A much different show on a different network. It happened to feature many of the same characters/actors, but it is NOT Saved by the Bell. They might try to disguise it as Saved by the Bell in repeats on TBS and what not, but it's still the old Disney Channel show Good Morning, Miss Bliss.
