John Ritter memorial on Oct. 14:

The Memorial Service is going to be Tuesday, October 14 at the El Capitan Theatre -- but due to an overwhelming amount of mail, requests, etc. -- even this memorial is by invitation. Only 900 can attend. It's too bad, but he was SO loved, there is not a place big enough. I hope everyone understands.

How does this invitation work? I was thinking I "might" be able to go. I'd really love to go and pay my respects, but I have to make sure that I am able to get in before I actually fly out there.

Yes, I too want to know.. "how does one go about getting an invitation"? And, why call it a "public memorial" when it's by invite only?! A public memorial should perhaps be held at a park or something.

Oh well, my "memorial" will be when I go to the taping of "8..". The 1st taping, since John's passing, will be friday Oct. 31. John won't physically be there but his spirit sure will be. And I want to be there too.

Why isn't the memorial held in an arena or stadium or something so ALL of John's fans could show up and THE WHOLE WORD COULD REALLY SEE HOW MUCH HE WAS REALLY LOVED!!

I think a small arena would be a great idea....what about that new soccer park in LA? The HOme Depot Center? What about having the memorial there or another small (or large) arena?
