:( I feel bad for you. I just talked to a friend who lives in Wisconsin and he got snow yesterday (9/30), but he said that it was too warm for the snow to stay on the ground long, so it melted as soon as it hit the ground. I hope that's the same case for you. :(
About 1 1/2 weeks ago, my whole state was in a FROST advisory. ohno: Luckily, it never came through. WHEW!

You want a mild winter? Come down here! We've got no shortage!
BrandonS 10-01-2003, 10:34 AM Snow would be nice, but I think the most we'll get in central Florida is cool temperatures (maybe the 50s) in January. That's basically our winter.
M82A1 10-01-2003, 10:47 AM You want snow? Move up to Indiana. I used to live there. I lived there during the winter of '99, it was the worst snowstorms in northern IN in almost 25 years! Snow up to 4 feet thick, Man I miss that!

No, thanks. I grew up in NY and shovelled a lot of snow in my time. I wouldn't mind lower temperatures, though.

M82A1 10-01-2003, 11:34 AM That just reminded me of a quote from my favorite show NewsRadio.
Dave: "The winter in Wisconsin is the best 7 months of the year!"

Ahhhhhh, NewsRadio. I miss that show.
Yeah, that's what it's like up here. ohno: We usually have our 1st snow in mid- to the end of October and then by Thanksgiving, there's snow on the ground for sure. Then that runs through April but we STILL get some snow in May. ohno: again. That rarely happens though, but in '02 we had a freak blizzard in May and school had to be cancelled the next day.
Jenya 10-01-2003, 05:55 PM This was winter in Newfoundland this past March. 14 feet of snow!
Jenya 10-01-2003, 05:59 PM Here's a birds eye view of St. Carol, NF Last March.

 Here, too, but it won't accumulate or anything. I want it to snow, though, I want it to be Christmas. Yay. :D

I HAD pictures of the '93 blizzard somewhere but I probably took it to my mom's (probably in storage) or I probably put it away in the picture box here...I'll have to check later. It was HORRID. I forgot to mention - the drifts were at least 12-14 feet high! ohno:
Swimfan85 10-01-2003, 10:26 PM I am ready for snow!! It was soo cold today!! I wannnnnnnt winter!

Yeah I know. Alabama dosen't get a whole lotta snow, but I live in the northern part so it snows a little more often, just not ever really big. Maybe an inch.
dandelion wine 10-01-2003, 11:08 PM It'd be nice to have snow here every now and then, but that rarely ever happens in Southeast Texas. We usually have the same kind of weather that Brandon has.

OMG....I've seen snow here in Iowa....but damn! That's a lot of snow.
PZelda 10-02-2003, 02:14 PM I found a few (but not all) of the pics that were taken during the horrible blizzard we had in '93. See that mound of snow way there on the right side? The front door was there...No way to get out! But thank God for the door on the left...ohno:
This was a few days after the blizzard so there was plenty of time for the snow to melt. But, trust me, it was worse than that.
PZelda 10-02-2003, 02:19 PM Thank God this trailer house wasn't completely buried under snow! A lot of others weren't so lucky. :(
PZelda 10-02-2003, 02:22 PM An instance of what I mean by cars being literally buried under snow...This is just ONE picture. I had more, there was one where people had been digging a van out and it still had 4 feet of snow on the top of it.
