Actress, Comedienne. Best remembered for her work in television in the 1950s and 60s. In the 1930s and 40s, she had several minor roles in motion pictures and also gained recognition for her work in radio. She married Desi Arnaz in 1940, who was her co-star on the "I Love Lucy" show, a tremendously popular, innovative, and influential situation-comedy.

how many comedians died from a problem with their aorta. its almost like being a comedian is a death sentence for some.:(

I know, it does seem that way doesn't it. Also I thought a ruptured aorta was very rare. I know they said it was after surgery but wouldn't that mean they screwed up somehow because of how rare it is and they were just in there poking around. I don't mean to to say anything bad, It's just wierd to me that's all. It just makes you think. I wonder what hospital she was in.

Hey, did you read from the editors note at the end about her ashes going to next of kin in Jamestown, N.Y., I wonder who the next of kin was. Don't her kids still reside in C.A.? I thought they did.

I think that means that the next of kin moved the ashes from the original spot. It doesn't mean that the location is next to kin. That's how I read it.

Ya you're right, I read it wrong. I wonder why they moved them though. Did she have relations in Jamestown?

i know, that is so weird that they died from the same cause(kind of) it was just the other day i saw them together on tc when she was hosting, and then i find out they died the same way. :(
