There's this ad i saw in a weekly magazine that i get mailed to me every week that said do u wanna be in tv commercials, music videos, extras in a movie or tv show. I called the number to talk to somebody & the guy told me it costs $79 to get some information mailed to me about being in a tv commercial & being a extra in a music video & tv show. He told me i had to send him 5 photos of myself also. I'm thinkin about doing this cause i wanna get into television & i read that u get paid a lot of money to do tv commercials. The ad said u can make $200-$600 a week doing commercials.

I was in a commercial once. It was for local cable only. I was working as a cashier at a brand new car wash and the owner was a friend of the family and wanted me to be in his commercial... I got to drive a corvette up to the car wash and then go in an pay and smile at the camera... It was fun and I got $100 extra bucks...

I was in a few commercials for my grandma's shop a long time ago (they needed a cute little girl about 4 years old and guess who got the part :D ) So yeah, I was a well-known face in Indiana in 1986  I've also written a couple of commercials for her shop and some local radio stations.

I have a friend who was in one for something.I forget what it was LOL.That commercial actually got a lot of air play on channels like Nick and N@N so if you watched N@N or any other basic cale channel from like 1997-2000 then you might have seen it.

Yeah, I've been in like 3-4 local commercials for my dad's party supply store. He owns and operates a HUGE party store, along with my stepmom, where I live, so I'm pretty well-known here in town. His commercials are kickass, too. :D We just actually finished doing one for Halloween, in fact, and they're airing the commercial here til Halloween. :D

If they are asking for money then its probably a scam...

No, but about 11 years ago when my cousins were like 12, they were in a comercial for a local theme park...it was just because they were taping random people on the water rides and stuff.

It doesn't have to be a scam necessarily just because they're asking for money. You're not gonna be able to get into the television industry as a actor for free. If u get a agent, you're gonna have to pay a agent anyway just to see if he can get u a part in a movie or on a tv show. I think the reason why they're asking for money is because u might be guaranteed to get in a tv commercial, tv show, be a extra in a movie if they like the pictures they see of u. Plus they're sending u information on what their company is about & u know they're not gonna send u information for free to get u into the entertainment industry.

Years ago, my family was Knott's Berry Farm in Calif. Me and my dad got on Montezuma's Revenge and people from CBS were filming a CBS 'Looking Good' commercial. We were all asked if we wanted to be in the commercial. We said sure. So when we came to the loop of the ride, the camera was there and we had to hold up our hands and give the okay sign. After the ride we had to sign a paper. It was only shown in Calif. So I never saw it.

I think you pay agents like 10% of what you make or whatever.. Rather then a Flat Fee though some may just charge one Fee I dunno... Whats the company called?

information should be for free if it's about their company. Agents do have fees, but then you can fire them if they can't find you anything. You can get into the industry for free - if you are lucky. I don't think paying will get you any more luck than going to a few cattle-call auditions.

In January 2002, a segment aired on a local television station about me doing the weather at my high school during the local news on several occasions.

And, there was a commercial for it. It went something like: "Not many people know what the future is going to be, but I know who one of the weatherman of the future is going to be. Who is he? Find out why he's Absolutely Alabama!" Of course, I got the commercial and news segment on tape!

It aired 5-6 times through the Birmingham, AL TV market!

I'm a model, so one day I might get to be in a commercial. But when I was 6, I almost got part in a "Got milk?" commercial...
