Which is better The Carol Burnett Show or Mama's FAMILY?

Oh come now! That's not fair! Both shows are hilarious!I really can't choose!:confused:

The Carol Burnett Show

Mama's.

Mama's Family. But I only like the NBC years of that show. Once it moved to syndication, everything changed. The characters switched roles, they killed Aunt Fran, never bothered to bring up Vint's kids again, Mama is smart now and Vint is the dumb one.

It was an extremely tough choice, but I chose Mama's Family. It very easily could've went the other way.

I've only seen a couple episodes of The Carol Burnett Show, but since I love Mama's Family thats what I chose.

Mama's Family...I've never seen the Carol Burnett Show.

The Carol Burnett Show. Mama and Eunice were hilarious together. I didn't find Mama as funny without Eunice.

I'll choose Mama's Family

"Mama's Family" because it draws my attention and is consistent with it. On the other hand, "The Carol Burnett Show" can sometimes get boring and I sometimes drift off.

Carol Burnett is one of those things I'll try to watch when I can. But, there have been many morning where'll I'll wake up early, at 5 AM CT, for the sole purpose of laughing my blank off before heading off to another day of school, and that whole drudgery...

I grew up with "Mama's Family," so I chose Vicky's show.

I've only seen a couple of episodes of the Carol Burnett Show, and from what I've seen, its pretty bland, boring and unfunny. I'll give examples of the skits I saw.

A Writer was reading his story and people were acting it out
Two Foreign Movie Reviewers or something like that
Hitler on Non-violent theater

I saw some other stuff too and to tell you the truth, I didn't laugh at any of these skits. In fact, the only semi-funny thing I saw was the Mama's Family skit where it was Mama's birthday, and even that didn't even compare to the actual Mama TV Show.

Mama's Family was one of the first shows I actually enjoyed. I watched it a lot when I was I think 6-10 years old. Then for 4 years, I never noticed when it was on and just recently I was staying up all night on the long weekend on Sunday, and I caught it on TBS. Now I waking up an hour earlier than I can usually stand, and I tape it on TBS.

(although Carol Burnett is good too, just not one of my favorites)

Carol Burnette is totally hilarious. My hunch as to why many people here don't seem to like it is that they may have only seen the edited version, and not the hilarious CBS version which includes the audience questions and her infamous ear-tugs at the end of each show. I also believe that some of the comedy on the show was so releated to the 1970's that it simply has not been able to hold up over time. Just my hunch...

Well i have to say that the show That's My Mama was one sitcom that the Carol Burnett show did better than in the ratings. So maybe That's my Mama was that bad of a show

Mama's Family is one of my favorite shows. The Carol Burnett Show is okay, but Mama's Family is better, IMO.
