I wasn't too crazy about Cheers on N@N at 11pm and 11:30pm. So now atleast there is a new sitcom at that slot because Cheers was DRY!!!!!!. Roseanne is more appealing to me than Cheers.

Roseanne doesn't really fit N@N's demographic. It'd be better on TBS or just on Oxygen. Cheers is an older sitcom, which N@N should be about. Sitcoms that aren't already in syndication so much. Roseanne still airs on my local UPN station and countless others all around the country. Cheers never had a true cable home until N@N.

I think Roseanne should stay at 10, with Cheers at 10:30.

I like it at 11 too! It rocks! I am surprised N@N hasn't edited Roseanne or skipped episodes, some of the worst(content-wise) episodes were in the marathon and there was no editing... I didn't really think Roseanne belonged on N@N, but after watching the marathon, it does!

I wish Cheers was still on at 10:00 and 10:30...

I wish Cheers was at 10-11 too....

I loved it there... but atleast they didn't get rid of it completely. and no Roseanne doesn't belong on Nick at Nite... neither does Full House

Full House should be on Nickelodeon, not N@N or some other network like ABC Family.

Exactly. If they only show one half-hour of each show, more of them would have better timeslots.

I don't get why Roseanne is so hated in here.

Roseanne IMO is one of the greatest sitcoms ever. It was edgy. It was innovative. It wasn't about to fit into a normal "family sitcom" mold. The kids were not perfect. Roseanne and Dan were regular people, instead of rich and perfect like the Huxtables or Keatons or Seavers. It was one of the first sitcoms that really opened the door and had gay and lesbian characters and treated them like regular people, paving the way for shows like Ellen and Will & Grace. It tackled "very special" subjects like domestic violence and drug use without looking preachy. It was a show where the kids got older, and you weren't wincing that Darlene or DJ no longer had the "cuteness" (compared to say Rudy in later seasons of Cosby Show).

Roseanne IMO shook up the world of sitcoms and was a part of many peoples households for 9 seasons. The last season wasn't very good, but even season 9 was still better than a lot of todays stuff like Raymond.

I just don't get why everyone in here detests Roseanne, when I think it was a very good series.

No, Nickelodeon is airing a Sabrina, The Teenage Witch marathon from Sunday-Thursday and the marathon will be pre-empting Nick at Nite from 9:00PM-10:00PM.

out of curiosity, what was so trashy about the show? I can understand maybe you felt that way about Roseanne herself because she really was outrageous and outspoken when she was popular, but I never really thought the show itself was trash. It just happened to realistically depict a blue-collar family with struggles and faults instead of being a happy perfect family with model kids like the Huxtables or Seavers.

Roseanne itself was a great comedy and I think most peoples faults with the show lays with their opinions on the former Mrs. Arnold's public antics.

The comedy it relied on was neither clever, nor witty. At least that's how I feel about it, and trust me I have seen most of the episodes in Roseanne (I use to watch it a couple of years ago on tbs). Roseanne Barr was a bit too vulgar for my taste and it came through in the show. I have no problem with blue collar but I think that this show was on the border of Decency and trashiness. It's really just not my taste in comedy, I mean if you like it that's great, but that is how I feel about it personally.

The thing I like about Roseanne is it tackled REAL-LIFE and SERIOUS issues... it's not trash.

if you consider that trash, well, don't watch the show.

I'm glad that Roseanne is on N@N, I totally love that show. Unfortunately, it's on during the same time as Golden Girls. I hate to miss either shows.

i also wish CHEERS(one of my favorite tv shows of alltime)was still on at 10pm-11pm but i enjoy ROSEANNE.
in my opinion FULL HOUSE should be on abc family channel not nick at nite.

I think you should do it; long knitting needles would be my suggestion...they will penetrtate deep into the skull. Maybe you could get some sort of lawsuit going against Roseanne.....or maybe a blind date. :crazy:

I say kick Roseanne out of the line-up and give the 11:00 hour to either Three's Company, Perfect Strangers, All in the Family, or Cheers. It's bad enough that Roseanne is still running on local stations across the country. Oh yeah, don't forget about the Oxygen Channel too. Too much ROSEANNE everywhere! yuck!
