Can anyone think of some shows that did good in the ratings but were cancelled anyway (Seinfeld and the like don't count).

"Leap Of Faith" was like the #4 rated show but it was still cancelled after only 1 season.

I can't think of any more.Can you?

"Full House" had good ratings and it was canceled after eight roller coaster seasons.

The Wonder Years, despite being in the top ten at least once, was cancelled, ever so unceremoniously, after only five (well, 5½ if you count the six episodes at the end of the 1987-88 season) years on the small screen. :( :crying: ohno:

Family Ties. Family Ties had good ratings and was cancelled after seven seasons.

well, Family Ties had dropped considerably in the ratings (dropping from #2 in 1986-1987 to #56 in 1988-1989), but it was announced at the beginning of the final season that the show was ending. Goldberg and the cast were going to end FT even if it had stayed in the top 10 in the final season

I think they're more talking about shows like Jesse, My Big Fat Greek Life or The Single Guy that were doing well in the ratings, and yet got unceremoniously cancelled.

Anything that has aired at 9:30PM or 8:30PM on a Thursday Night on NBC including "Union Square" and "The Weber Show" have gotten great ratings but only due to it's lead-ins. Any other night with those ratings and it woulda been huge news but since people are only keeping it on after the bigwigs ("Friends", "Will and Grace") they pale in comparison

Well Family Matters had a 2-part finale, but it sucked. It felt like a season finale where they would come back in the Fall.

I think the Monkees' rating were still good, but the cancellation was a mutual decision betweem the cast and NBC.

Bridget Loves Birney hit the top ten for the 1972-1973 season and was cancelled after that one season due to controversy over the subject matter.

Amos 'n' Andy is in the same boat.

How about the shows that CBS cancelled after the 1970-71 season because its audiences were too high in rural areas?
