View Full Version : Anyone else turn it off when...
rachelfan 09-26-2003, 07:03 PM they see it's a Rebecca episode? How did that woman make it in Hollywood without an ounce of talent. Ms Alley thinks humor = whiney voice. I somehow wish NAN would accidentally lose the Alley episodes like they've done with the Billy Connelly episodes on Head of the Class.
Brian Damage 09-26-2003, 07:04 PM She wasn't all that bad actually.
MaydayMalonesGirl 09-26-2003, 07:07 PM I don't turn it off . I never turn Cheers off if its on. I love all the years I prefer the Diane years but I still love and watch them all.
Dannie IsNotHere 09-26-2003, 07:34 PM Okay, I LOVE the Rebecca episodes, and I really like Rebecca. Any episode of Cheers is great, so I wouldn't turn it off anyway, even if it's an episode that I'm see 5 million times. Not to be mean or anything, but you really shouldn't judge other people about what they watch, prefer to watch, or want to watch. You might just be wrong.
How can you say Kirstie Alley didnt have any talent??!! She is a great actress, she can be funny then serious all in the same scene. Plus she put a lit cigarette in her MOUTH. Thats all talent.
CarJackSnyder 09-26-2003, 07:50 PM i never turned off my t.v when rebecca episode came on. i didnt lik her tht much but i still thought she was funny.
Dannie IsNotHere 09-26-2003, 08:42 PM OMG That episode where she put the cigarette in her mouth was sooooo funny!
HuntingtonM15 09-26-2003, 08:53 PM Kirstie is awesome and very talented!
Teddy02 09-26-2003, 09:17 PM i'm not the biggest kirstie fan in the world, as you all know but i do think that she is a good actress. she did have a pretty decent movie career (unlike some other actress we know that chose to leave the show early... but i guess that's besides the point) anyway i mean the whole lit cigarette thing like you said takes talent, but i do think that rebecca was much better in her earlier years. that tough, won't-let sam get to her thing was great but then she just lost it. :( oh well i like her anyways
DianeChambers87 09-26-2003, 10:58 PM Rebecca is my third favorite Character after Diane and Sam. She's great!! I love her whining!!!!
Best Rebecca line ever:
I AM TOO STUPID TO LIVE!!!~

I do, too! I pretty much ONLY like the Diane years, because that's where all the tension was! C'mon...admit it...that's what you all tuned in for!
I did feel bad for Kirstie, though. I mean, imagine coming on a hit show to replace a LOVED, and I mean LOVED :biglove: character, and being expected to fill her shoes! I heard an interview with Kirstie once, and she said that she almost felt like the audience was giving a moment of silence for Shelley when they were SUPPOSED to be applauding her! Oh, well.
Later.

wizard12 09-26-2003, 11:25 PM No, I like the Rebecca years. So, I watch them...I don't turn off any episode I don't think.
CheersChild4life 09-26-2003, 11:42 PM I LUV EVERYONE PLAIN AND SIMPLE
dr frasier crane 09-27-2003, 12:55 AM I love the Diane years! They are definitely my favorite. I think Kirstie Alley is a "good" actress, but not a "great" actress. She is funny, but I don't think she is that great of a serious dramatic actress.
barwars 09-27-2003, 08:56 AM Character - My least favorite, but still VERY good.
The episode where she gets drunk is HILARIOUS, but to me, she's gone after that, I mean, she just wasn't that funny in the final season.
But as for actress, hatred.
Well I dont HATE her, but REALLY dislike.
If she would only go on Frasier....
Central Perk 09-27-2003, 09:54 AM I never turned off Cheers when Rebecca was in the episode. The Rebecca years are way better than the Diane years, imo.
