Okay let me preface by saying I LOVE this show. I was pregnant when it first began and I can't believe it's now nearly 10 years later and ending!

Tonight's episode was better than 90% of last years episodes and was VERY funny I thought.

The Monica and Chandler thing didn't really do much for me although some of Chandler's facial expressions did get me howling.

Rachel and Joey just keeled me, they were GREAT.

When Ross walked in and saw Joey and Rach kissing and Rach said "I'm soooo sorry" with the boob squeeze I busted out laughing!

It will be interesting to see how this Joey and Rachel thing pans out. I'm Ross and Rachel all the way so I don't really want it to work but it will be funny :)

Great job tonight!

I agree Nanny, Last season was a little hit or miss, IMO, but this season promises to be one of the best yet.

I agree with the both of you. Tonight's episode was funny. I wasn't feeling last season much so I didn't watch much of it. But since they did say this will be the last season, I think this season will be one of the best.

I thought I was the only one that wasn't feeling this Rachel and Joey thing but I am curious to see it try and come about.

Hey I'm content with the Joey/Rachel thing until about midseason. They can flirt, have sex, do whatever they want but midseason they have to get back to Ross and Rachel.

The show won't come full circle with me if those 2 don't end up togheter in the end.

They were why I loved FRIENDS from the beginning, they were why I kept coming back year after year and it will only be right for me if they are together in the end.

They are each othes lobsters.

Just ask Phoebe :)

Please, please!!! Not the lobster quote!!! That theory has been disproven over and over since Phoebe said it! R&R didn't stay together after the break, they didn't stay together after the drunken marriage in Las Vegas and they didn't GET together after Emma was born! Three strikes, you know?? It ain't gonna happen for them (thank God!) and after tonight, I've not seen Rachel this happy in a very, very long time!!!

Joey and Rachel together is magic!!! The chemistry is perfect!! There has been too much bad history under the bridge between R&R for them to try to get past it and make any kind of a future. Regardless of Emma. A child will not guarantee a relationship between the parents will work. Never has, never will.

Everyone has their own ways of wanting this show to end and I respect yours but mine is to have Ross and Rachel together. They as a couple (fighting, together, on a break, however) are the show for me.

I am happy to have Rachel with Joey for a while but in the end I want to see Ross and Rachel together. He was in love with her for so many years before they were even together, he's always been in love with her - to me the show won't be complete upon ending if they aren't together.

But since that's not up to me...

I thought this episode was very funny. A great start for their last season. I hope all this seasons eps are as funny as this one. I bet they were the number one show of the work or number 2 show. Darn CSI.

I liked it. I thought it was funny when Monica got her hair caught in the shower curtain. And then when Chandler grabbed Joey out of the room and Rachel was looking around for him.

I rooted for Rachel and Ross forever, but I am all for her and Joey now. Those two are so sweet, and you're right.. she hasn't been this happy in such a long time. Plus, Joey just adores her. I know he's getting his own spin-off, so it probably won't happen, but I'd love to see a relationship blossom this season.

Last night's episode was great! And Monica.. that was hilarious, absolutely hilarious. Poor girl getting her hair caught in the shower rod, singing "No Woman No Cry,"? Loved it.

I don't think that Rachel can end up with Joey now that he has his own show, Jennifer is not doing the show with Matt so I am pretty sure Ross and Rachel will be together at the end. But who knows.

Hi Girls,

I unfortunately had to leave the house at about 8:30 p.m. last night with still 20 more minutes of Friends left. I was devastated. I left just at the part where Monica was rubbing her corn rows across Chandler's chest. Would anyone be so kind to give me a detailed recap of what happened after that point???

Forever Greatful,

It was a good episode, better than most of the episodes last season.

You have got to be kidding!

Aside from the hair in the shower curtain bit, and Rachel looking around for Joey when Chandler yanked him out of the room, there was absolutely nothing funny about the show last night, and a great many inconsistencies in character:

1. Last season, Joey seemed to be sincere about Rachel, having a grown up relationship, a little more grown up. NOW he has gone back to being just as wimpy and stupid as in earlier seasons. BTW--Ross and Charlie were kissing prior to getting Joey's "okay"--not the 'thing to do'-so why would Joey be so excited about having Ross' approval? Or, if we are going to go the other way, and accept that all Joey wants to do is sleep with Rachel, I cannot believe that he would care more about what Ross thinks than satisfying his lust. Didn't work.

2. Joey wimped around so much about telling Ross, that I really expected Rachel just to tell him to forget the whole thing--why would she want to get involved any further with another loser --she's a mom now--(like Joey was being last night)?

3. Phoebe was very unhappy with Mike's treatment of Precious, I thought she was going to tell him to buzz off too--instead, she demanded his thanks for getting rid of her?--again, did not make sense.

4. WHY did Monica worry about getting something done with her hair the day they were flying back to NY? And--BTW--doesn't it get humid in NYC in the summer--how come her hair always looked okay at home in July? and--corn rows take a very very very long time to do--she just went to the salon that morning--? nah, this did not work either.

5. Mike is now a jerk? Where did that come from?

I'm sorry folks, not flaming any of you, but if this is the way the season is going to go, they should have taken it off the air last year. Really substandard--especially for a season premiere.

:(

Add me to the ever-growing list of women who are growing disenchanted with the whole Ross and Rachel storyline. I really hope they don't end up together. Ross treats Rachel like dirt and the entire relationship has become one big joke. It's very unrealistic the way beautiful Rachel became the one pining over Ross. Ross has a new girlfriend every episode practically and it always seemed, before Joey, that Rachel became this pathetic loser of a woman pining over Ross and being rejected by him time and time again. Wake up male writers. Look at Ross and look at Rachel. Ain't no way a woman who looks like that would be treated like dirt by a guy who ain't so hot looking.

I really liked last night's episode....even though I want Rachel and Ross together, I think Charlie and Ross are nice couple together. I actually liked Monica's poofy hair lol it was....different:lol:....

I like the season premiere. The cornrow thing was pretty funny (I actually think they looked good) as well as the eavesdropping and shampoo incident. Although it wasn't as good as last season's premiere.

Mike's always been a jerk IMO.

I thought the premiere was pretty good....maybe not as good as other season premieres, but much funnier than 95% of the episodes last season. The whole part with Rachel and Joey kissing at the end and saying "good night...OK, SERIOUSLY, good night!!!" made me laugh because the same thing happened to me the night before with my boyfriend and me. Throughout the episode, I was in denial that this is the final season premiere! :( Since this is the final season, I think it'll be a much better one (or at least I hope so!!)

Well I thought the ep was funny, and enjoyed it more than any ep last season.

I can put up with Rachel and Joey it's just not my couple. I really think Ross and Rachel will get back together before the end of season. It's bound to happen the writers know that they belong together.

And I think everyone knows that they won't be ue to Joey having his own spin off show and Jennifer will not be in it!

Mike was a little jerk but all guys can act like Jerks. As for Ross treating Rachel like dirt in previous seasons!!! Noooooo, I think they had a very true relatioship. Everyone makes mistakes like Ross did.

I respect everyone's veiws I just hope R & R get the edning they deserve.

"Friends" still has arguably one of if not the strongest ensemble casts on TV today. The season premiere was very funny.

How can you say with all honesty that R&R had a "true" relationship? Ross treated her like a possession and tried to smother her for the majority of their relationship. One or two mistakes -- yea, I can forgive and forget, but Ross kept making the same kind of mistakes with Rachel over and over and over. He never learned from them because in his "perfect Ross" mind, he was doing the right thing "for them." His selfishness continued on into the days when Rachel was dating Paul and Ross says "this is wierd for ME!" OK, so it's fine for him to do whatever with whomever and damn the consequences, but when it makes HIM feel uneasy or hurt -- it just cannot happen. Another example is when Jack Gellar gave Monica his Porsche because he used Monica's boxes to block the water and Ross got SO livid because of it! He doesn't even want his own sister to get any kind of special attention! Everything is about Ross and what he wants and needs out of life.

SInce the producer of the show is James Burrows I can guarantee he'll throw everyone a curb ball to what you think is going to happen...trust me either no one will end up together or some one will go away. Even with the Ross/Rachel relationship...he'll still do it...trust me..

Hi. I'm new to this post. I love friends though. Watched it since it's pilot way back when. Anyways, the only thing I'm not thrilled about is the producers letting it out of the bag about Joey having a spin off. It's kind of obvious that Joey and Rachel don't end up together in the end if none of the others, besides Joey obviously, arent' in the spin off. So whatever's happening now, doesn't really matter. They're all leaving the show, except for Joey.
