Does anyone know whether or not the National Champions of College Football have ever played the Superbowl Champions from the NFL? If so, what were the results? The reason I'm wondering is because I think it would be cool if every year after the superbowl, they had the NFL Champions play the College Champions. It would have been so awesome to see the Buccaneers play the Ohio State Buckeyes last year, or to see the Miami Hurricanes take on the New England Patriots the year before. ABC would get huge ratings from a game like this, because I think people would love to see the best of College Football playing the best of the NFL. What do you guys think? Would you want to see College teams play pro teams from time to time? Also, what are some of the NFL/College matchups you'd like to see? I'd love to see the Oregon Ducks verses the Seattle Seahawks, and the USC Trojans verse the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I think those games would be classics.

I'm not sure because I was kinda young, but I think back in the 70s the Steelers played a college team, not sure which one tho.

I think the Packers and Bears played college all stars years ago.I don't believe there has been an "official" exhibition game between a single college team and a pro football team. The only sport I know that does have college/pro games is baseball, during spring training like B.C. vs the Red Sox and Georgia Tech vs the Braves.

Thanks for the info guys! It's kind of surprising to me that there has never been an official College/Pro game. You'd think that with all the money that could potentially be made from a game like this, that they would have done it years ago. I mean to have College fans, and NFL fans show up to a game to cheer their teams would be huge! Maybe it's just a matter of getting both sides to agree to terms or something , I don't know.
