I was wondering if The Jetsons were ever in black and white? I know The Flintstones were in black and white at one time, so I wanted to know if The Jetsons were? Thanks!!

As far as I know, the Jetsons were always in color.

I think it would have been contradictory if a cartoon about a family enjoying all the benefits of a highly advanced futuristic society was in balck and white.

Actually, I remember seeing several episodes of the Jetsons in black and white when I was a little kid.

Of course, I was watching it on a black and white television set, but still...

I think NBC always broadcast them in color but some of their affiliates (and the stations that would rerun them later) didn't HAVE color capacity as late as the early 1970s!

The Jetsons originally premiered in prime time on ABC in the fall of 1962 and was the ABC network's first show to air in color. The Flintstones (also on ABC) began airing in color at the same time after two seasons that originally aired in black and white from 1960.
