View Full Version : Yet another....' Least Favorite...'
Cokies 02-24-2001, 07:14 PM Okay, I hate opinion polls but I don't think we've had one like this on this board. It's similiar to a topic awile back 'What do you hate most', but it's 'What is your Least Favorite Episode?'
And I mean the ones you really DONT like... and give the reasons why...

"It was just like Saturday Night Fever, only it was a Friday."
Michele35 02-24-2001, 07:59 PM I'm not very good at remembering all the names of the episodes but here goes:
I hated the one where Nat goes to visit her boxer 'boyfriend' at the all boys academy. I also hated the episode that focused on Tootie's aunt who was married to the white guy. I didn't like the episode where Jo went to visit her cousins at their garage or the one where Natalie decides to move to Soho with all of those crazy people. The last episode with Blair buying Langley is also kinda weak. Any episode with Pippa, Cousin Geri or Kelly automatically scores negative points in my book. I also don't think I like the one tonight where MrsGarrett's nerdy son is fighting with his wife.
Any my least favorite of all time would be the Sexy Lingerie episode featuring El DeBarge!!!!Yuk! I also hated Cinnamon/Stacy Q and Jermaine Jackson! Unfortunately, these episodes will all be airing soon.
I think I can safely say that any episode that had a "special guest" or was filmed elsewhere other than Edna's Edibles or the kitchen, wasn't that good. The spin-off attempt shows I didn't much care for.
JoPol_wannabe 02-24-2001, 08:14 PM The episode where Edna's son Alex comes I did not like this episode because I thought it was kind of korny. I did like the poem Natalie read thought.

Nat: Alright I can't take criticism I never could even when I was a baby if people didn't laugh when I was being cute I would spit up

Devastation26 02-24-2001, 08:15 PM Let me put it this way!
FIRST SEASON!!!!!!!! FIRST SEASON!!!!!!! FIRST SEASON!
------------------
Andy: C'Mon Ms. Garrett, throw us a song.
Ms. G.: Born in the U.S.S.R.
80skid 02-24-2001, 08:26 PM I'm sorry, and you can definitely argue with me on this, but I hated the last two episodes. It was nice how Blair bought Eastland and saved it from going downhill, but it didn't seem like a real show finale. It seems as if the Eastland-students-of-1988 got more airtime than any of the other characters, *especially* Natalie, who I think was only in the first part and not even featured in the "final photograph" of the girls while Pippa was. (Not to have anything against Pippa sorta, but it's not the same when the picture's without Nat.) I know I'm carrying this long but the last two episodes were the worst.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~
go MS VBall/Badminton, esp. #35!!
Tootie: There's gonna be trouble!!!!!!!
Natalie: I'm so brilliant it scares me!
80s' sitcoms 4-ever, especially Facts of Life!!
Mrs. G: Give me broccoli... or give me death!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
ILuvJo&Blair 02-24-2001, 08:27 PM i haven't seen them all but the one's i have seen i didn't like 'talk, talk, talk. i don't really have a reason besides i just didn't like it. and the one oe with Jermain Jackson. i think that antrum that Tootie through was just rediculous. it was stupid and pointless.
------------------
blair- another brilliant idea just popped into my head
jo- oh, don't scare it. it's a lonely place in there.
TVaddict 02-24-2001, 10:04 PM Any and all spin-off attempt episodes were awful. Especially "Brian and Sylvia." We saw the girls for like 15 seconds! The one where Molly's parents are getting divorced. (other than that the first season wasn't so terrible, although I much prefer the others) The Facts of Life Down Under, there was just nothing good going on there. And the one where Tootie goes to audition for Broadway, or basically either episode with Stacy Q. And I didn't really like the one where Natalie goes undercover in ROTC. That episode seemed more like an episode of Saved By the Bell than anything else. (don't get me wrong, I like SBTB but FOL is above that) So those are the ones I can think of right now.
ThomasE 02-24-2001, 10:32 PM I really disliked the Brian and Sylvia episode. Oh for the record, they did divorce in the long run.
-----------------------------------
Tootie: Uh Oh. Were in troubllllle
Natalie: You better make that a doublllle.
marymarat 02-24-2001, 11:58 PM I was never crazy about those attempted spin-offs' cause they barely showed the girls. Especially that one with,I think,Tooties aunt and her white hockey coach husband. Those two people couldn't act for beans. (I actually kinda like the dance at the military academy one cause the girls were in most of it)
Cokies 02-25-2001, 12:11 AM There's only one episode that I can't despise even more than the spring break episode from season 6. I hate that episode!
And there are powersuits everywhere, it's scary!

"It was just like Saturday Night Fever, only it was a Friday."
Michele35 02-25-2001, 12:30 AM Oh yeah, I forgot about the spring break in Florida and the ROTC episodes...neither one of those were that great in my opinion. I could not even sit through FOL Down Under.
I agree with you guys that any attempted spinoff episodes or shows that took place outside of Eastland or the Shoppe were usually not as good. The exception was the shows that had the girls go to NY which were good except for the Stacey Q episode.

The hockey coach was Richard Dean Anderson, a pretty good and popular actor best known as MacGyver.. but he was probably better in an action/adventure show than a sitcom..
Mustang Mimi 04 02-25-2001, 01:11 AM Well I can't think of all the ones that I don't like- generally if I don't like an episode it goes out of my mind until I realize its on again- then I'm all like oh not again. But I have to admit that I was yawning with the one with Mrs G's son in tonight's episode. I'm really glad they showed them in the order they did cause I was happy with the second episode- it was funny. I put some quotes from it on my signature. Well gotta
go- tootles!
------------------
Tootie: Can we sing?
Jo: Sing?
Tootie: That's what I do when I'm scared what do you do?
Jo: Slap people
Blair: A Warner is like a delicate soufle
Jo: Yeah light and empty
Nat: I'd rather be a happy magic marker than a skinny pencil
Blair: (Cliff's parents) live on a farm.
Tootie: A farm?
Jo: As in e-i-e-i-o?
Jo: Which one's the pig?
Tootie: That's predictable Jo, insulting Blair.
Jo: I wasn't insulting Blair, I
All: was insulting the pig!
Love The Facts Of Life 02-25-2001, 03:02 PM I hated Brain and Sylvia episode it was so boaring.
------------------
Jo:I don't know you got to admit:Force has some good points.
Blair:Jo's hoping to attend the Chuck Norris School Of Law.
Nat:Who wants to be a skiny pencil?I'd rather be a happy magic marker.
Ms.G:Girls! Will you tell me what's been going on here?
Nat:Group sleep walking?
Ms.G:(gives that"Idon't believe you"look)
Blair:Well, you know the first day of school getting settled in and meeting new people....
Tootie:Yeah!!And now comes Miller time!
BlairW_2 02-25-2001, 03:04 PM I don't like 'The Fight' and the one when Tootie's aunt and uncle and fighting..I don't know the name..

..*Cassandra*..
Warner520 02-26-2001, 06:11 PM I didn't like that episode where Natalie is in SoHo, and she meets all those weird people. It was really boring.
Cokies 02-26-2001, 10:35 PM And David Spade overacted so much in that episode. Oh, and I hate every episode in which Ryan Cassidy is in...

Mr.Bradley965 02-26-2001, 11:10 PM least liked episodes
The Academy
Jo's cousin
The big fight
Lets face the music (season 9)
Big apple blues
I have not seen the episode "Brian and Sylvia" yet, but if it about as lame as the other spinoff attempts that the show had I am sure it was very lame also.
Big apple blues is one of the most depressing episodes.

Miss Mahony: Hello girls, everything looks marvelous, here are your hello badges. Here is yours Mr. Bradley.
Mr. Bradley: No, Miss Mahony, I know who I am.
Miss Mahony: Wear it, you might be wrong.
Jo: Mrs. G. this place is a zoo except you have the goat (natilie) the chipmunk (tootie) the peacock (Blair) and the people (Jo) all in the same cage.

>>I hate every episode in which Ryan Cassidy is in...<<
All of them? Even "Lonely at the Top" where Jo's building the parade float and Blair's in charge of Edna's Edibles?
I can agree on most of the others. Cassidy was sorta like parsley. You don't notice it on your plate and don't care if it ain't there.
Cokies 02-27-2001, 06:59 PM Devon King-
You're right, you're right. I sorta of exaggerated about that one. Ryan Cassidy just bugged me, sort of like Andy. I sort of just ignore both of them when they're on screen.

Sitcomwriter 02-27-2001, 08:21 PM I liked the Soho episodes. It was David Spade at his best.It led to an ok spinoff.I disliked the Tooties aunt episode.I bet that no one knew this but I was looking at tapes of FOL so I can get ideas for shows and in the NBC cabinets laid a small and VERY dusty tape titled "The George Clooney and Stacy Q Project".I was very curious so I snook a peek.It seems that it was a pilot of a then No named sitcom.Clooney starred as George with Stacy as Cinnamon. It was odd in the way that George had to keep his romance with Cinnamon and lie that he was engaged to Cinnamons Make-up artist.Since I never heard of it I guess NBC never picked it up.The theme was an instramental verison of the FOL song only more electric and a lyrical verse that went like this "Party hardy when your in -R-o-c-k- Rock.It was quite odd.

For the record they did get divorce and Brian married me!
I was hoping if any one had a copy of this episode to sell.
I always thought No Guns For Me Thanks Secret Agent MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson) was handsome, love to see some of his early work. But I must say he become more and more handsome as he got older, any thing from the first season of MacGyver and before he wasn't that grand in, but he did have that cute smile of his.

He is quite funny on Stargate SG1 and was also a bit on MacGyver, but is much better on Stargate its some of the things he does that makes you want to laugh.
fr00ti 12-15-2002, 03:33 AM "Smile" because it was just sucky. Oh "Brian and Sylvia" also sucked.
JDS84 12-19-2002, 09:10 PM I hated the last episode. It sucked bad.
Rebel Queen 1980 12-19-2002, 09:23 PM I didn't like the episode ''Guess What's Coming To Dinner?'' all that much, only two parts ,when the squirrel scared Natalie at first,
and that French old lady at the end,the rest ,ugh! no!.
Kristina 12-30-2002, 11:39 AM 'Brian and Sylvia" that episode was so stupid and pointless and lame 'spinoff episode' that failed. It barely had the FOL girls in it, it just focused on their stupid relationship. Yep, worst episode.
