Hi, I'm just curious, I was trying to find out if the story of little miss pensacola of florida, was ever solved. She was discovered in a marshy area, 20 years old, with some kind of orthopedic surgery done on her ankle, and she had given birth to at least 1 child. I re-aired today, 8-24-03.

The name given to the young woman was actually Little Miss Panasoffkee, which comes from the lake that they found her in. I did a web search and found nothing. Apparently there has been no resolution to this case as there was no update. It seems odd to me that no one would have recognized the distinguishing features about this woman and come forward to identify her. I truly hope that this case will be solved. Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention that the show said that the woman may have been of Native American descent. However, since I am not a forensic expert, I do not know what evidence they are basing this claim upon.

I believe they can tell American Indian decent by testing hair. There is something in the hair DNA that can reveal many different races.

I would be interested to know how that process works. Apparently they cannot tell for certain by this method.

It was replayed and I missed it. Arrgh!
Do a search on this board for Little Miss Panasoffkee, she has been brought up more than once. I found contact information for the Lake Pansoffkee authorities. The Doe Network is, as I understand, in the process of adding her to their database of unindentified victims.

The Unsolved Mysteries segment also said that she gave birth to a child as well.

Here is my Facebook group for her. The latest update for Little Miss Panasoffkee is that she was from Greece. This was learned by her DNA. A Greek TV show did a segment on her and got some tentative leads. New reconstructions of her have been made based on the new info. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10206999979372831&set=gm.1028320880564070&type=3&theater link to new images on poster I made.
