THE DR. IS OUT AND IN THE ARMS OF GUEST STAR PATRICK STEWART -- The debonair conductor of the Seattle Opera, Alistair Burke (guest star Patrick Stewart), mistakenly believes Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) is gay and starts courting the doctor by buying him expensive gifts and inviting him to high society parties. Frasier is so thrilled by the glamorous, sophisticated life he leads with his new friend that he ignores the warnings of Niles (David Hyde Pierce) and Daphne (Jane Leeves) who protest that Alistair may see their relationship as more than platonic. John Mahoney and Peri Gilpin also guest star. TV-PG

I thought it was hilarious. It was probably one of, if not my favorite "Frasier" episode ever.

Its too bad I haven't even been watching this show the past couple of years. Definitely will get back into it.

The best episode of Frasier, if not, the best episode in TV history.
In my book.

It was just perfect.

AND Frasier gave his classic line "Ohh dear God!"

Great episode. Patrick Stewart was hilarious. It's always great when he does comedy.

thefutoncritic.com voted this the 28th best episode of 2003.

28. "frasier: the doctor is out" (nbc)
originally aired: september 30, 2003

A return to fine form for the comedy as Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) inadvertently starts dating Alistair Burke (Patrick Stewart), the head of the Seattle opera guild. The "mistaken identity" plot has always been one of the show's strong points and it was nice to see it back in full form here.
