Check out your local newspaper for today, 9/24 (probably in the "Entertainment" or "TV Listings" section)...
In my paper there was a nice syndicated article on Tony Shalhoub, his Emmy win and his personal family loss. (Being that the article is syndicated, there's a chance that it could appear in YOUR local newspaper too).
The article told of how Tony is extremely close with his family, and how his 34-year old nephew had died just the day before the Emmy ceremony (the article said that he died "of undisclosed causes").
It continued that Tony was grieving so much that he didn't want to attend the Emmy ceremony, but his family members insisted, "No, you go!".
Tony now says that he was glad that he went so he could give his nephew a fitting tribute.
Tony Shalhoub is not only gaining fame and recognition as a talented actor, but he's also getting the reputation of being a nice person.
