I must be really thick...I didn't realize until it was pointed out to me that John Orchard, who played Ugly John in the first season also played Muldoon in the eighth season episode where the 4077th staff fill-in at Rosie's Bar while Rosie recovers from an injury.

Go figure!!

I know it wasn't unusual for guest actors to return in different roles, but this the only instance I know of where the guest actor was a former regular...well, "recurring character" if you want to get technical.
