I heard the sad news that Gordon Jump has passed away. While his stay on the show was short, his battle with George was great, "I'll see you in hell Costanza!" Of course nothing can match his great run on WKRP. Too many sad endings recently.

No.
Gordon played Mr. Thomassoulo, George's boss at PlayNowInc.
Remember, he busted handicaped-George carrying his elect scooter down the street.

Gordon Jump played the Maytag repairman for years:

That is a picture of Jesse White, the original Maytag repairman.

Gordon Jump (below) took over the role.

I am glad he was on the show - he will now be repairing the big appliance in the sky. I know the actor who played Jack Clompas also died :( And the elder Mendlebaum. Any others?

from an earlier post ...

Sandy Baron
Sandy Baron, who most recently played "Jack Klompus" -- the condo neighbor who continually battled with Jerry's dad -- on "Seinfeld," passed away in a Van Nuys nursing home on Sunday, January 21, 2001.

Gosh, Sandy was one of my first "TV crushes" when he starred in the late 60's comedy show "Hey Landlord!" A pre-teen living in Southern California, I felt sure that every New York City resident had to be like Sandy's character, "Chuck Hookstratten" -- friendly, cute, and quick-with-a-quip. <laugh>

What a wonderful talent -- Sandy's famous stage show about the life of comedian Lenny Bruce was brilliant.

Hard to believe Klompas was a spongeworthy at one point
