Do you ever wonder what Happy Days would have been like if Chuck was never written out of the show? I think it would have made things on the show a little better. In the first season when Gavin O'Herlihy played Chuck, he appeared in 5 episodes, and in each episode he was only there for less than a minute, and had a few lines. But when they brought him back in the premire episode in season 2 (Richie Moves Out) and Randolf Roberts had the role, Chuck had a major Role, and in the Christmas episode from that season he had more of a major role. I think what they should have done was keep Randolf Roberts as Chuck, and kept making the episodes like the other 2 he appeared in, where he wasn't only there for a few seconds every now and then, but have it where he is seen throughout the episode. I know they say Fonzie sort of took his place. But I think they could have used both Fonzie and Chuck on the show and things would have been fine. They could have had something intresting happen to Chuck in the later years of the show, after Richie left, instead of revolving the show around Joanie and Chachi. What does everyone else think the show would be like if Chuck was never written out?

I think that Chuck and Fonzie maybe became friends, after Richie left. :)

Maybe, instead of bringing in Roger, they could have had Chuck come back to town and he could have been the basketball coach and English teacher at Jefferson High.

Yeah, but I really like Roger too. But I'm also a Chuck fan, so I think they could just say he moved back into Mr. & Mrs. C's house and him and Chachi would become friends.

Gavin was my favorite, and I loved the character, Chuck. Yeah, it was focused on Richie and his clan, but Im sure they could have worked in a few story lines like they did with Joanie.

He probably would've been stuck in college playing basketball to this day - its hard to say what they could've done with Chuck, and its weird that they never brought him back, just too hard to explain I guess (not that their explanations for ANYTHING made alot of sens), but what would've been the point? I liked Chuck, but the show was focused on the family and, i'm assuming riding on the success of American Graffitti, and Chuck was too old to be another teenager right from the start.
If Richie and Chuck were a couple of years younger, it woulda given them time to develop as characters together.... I dunno maybe Im bein too picky, i just dont think it woulda worked.
