A friend and I were watching this episode the other night and wanted to know the name of the actor who played The wrestler who also learns ballet. We looked at the end and did not see it. I have done a search on the web and all i find is the titles of episodes but never gives out the cast list for each episode. Does anyone know this actors name. I want to find out what else he has apeared in and if he really was a ballet dancer or gymnast. Thanks.

the actual wrestling was on film from the 50s with the wrestler being ricky starr. he was an effiminate acting, major performer in the 50s and 60s. saw him once live and he had some great technical knowledge of the sport. he was a college wrestler from purdue and was the genuine article! not sure about the actor, though. i saw on credits that matt"ko" murphy has a credit.when you find out, please send me e-mail. i have wanted to know this for years now! thanks,rjc-03

Thanks for sharing that with me. So Im guessing that you are saying that when theyshowed that TV show they watched it was a real wrestler and not the actor named Ricky Starr. I kept thinking it was the actor doing all that. I wondered if the actor was a ballet dancer as well for he seemed to know his stuff yet he looked al ittle too muscular for a ballet dancer. My friend and I just loved the episde, thought it was so funny and thought the actor was funny and good in the role. I wondered who he was, and what other things he did. ANyway YOu said to email you but when i tried that it said your email was unavailable. thanks.

yes, the wrestler on film in the match was ricky starr. not sure if he was the actor. it does look like him, though. i have always looked for an actors credit myself and come up bare. it may have been him. you can see that same match on some classic wrestling videos available on the web. i worked the wrestling circuit for a few years as a crooked manager and had a fun time. these guys were hilarious!! ricky starr was not gay or effiminate in any way outside the ring. thanks for reply!

Hi. I didnt notice when I watched it that it was really a match. The one they showed on TV was a guy dancing doing ballet as part of his wrestling. So you are saying that was a real match and they didnt do that for just the show. My gosh. That is so funny. Well you also state he was effeminate acting. I didnt get that from the actor. WHen i saw him at the beginning in the trunks he looked muscular and was holding that guy down. When the girls put him in the ballet tights, I just thought it was a masculine musular man acting like the way one would if they did ballet which I guess could be considered effeminate but he did not come across that way to me. I guess some of those ballet moves can be considered feminine but there are men who do ballet LOL. Thanks again for replying

yes,the that was a real match . it was in texas ,i believe. ricky starr was very effiminate acting in the ring. a general sissy! kind of shocking for the times. the actor wasn t like that at all. i watch ed ricky take on 6 audience members once durind a challenge match. he dispatched them rather easily and quickly,if i might add. his leaps and feminine moves were very risque and sometimes he would spank his opponent! i read somewhere that a gay organization say he was a pioneer, coming out in a tough business. if only they new he was straightand quite a ladies man. he was a fun guy in a fun business. i am glad to know that almost 45 years and he is still getting over!
