anyone see that old episode when chrissy and the ropers were there and it was something about how mr.roper thought chrissy was pregnant because he overheard her through a bathroom pipe, and then janet wasn't there. it was some girl with red short hair. why wasn't joyce there? was she sick or something? that girl with the red hair bothered me...i was waiting for janet to show up sometime, and then i was stuck watching that poor replacement! so who was she? i know she was jack's gf or something but why was she there? thanks...

uhhhm, that's a good question. I completely forgot about that episode. I remember the red haired girl though, Jack's girlfriend, she was staying there for the weekend with them. Her name is on the tip of my tongue, I hate that. If it comes to I'll write again. But I do remember Janet not being there. We'll have to watch it again when they decide to grace us with a viewing of it. LOL!!!

Joyce DeWitt was having a problem at the time with her salary. She had to take that day off to settle a dispute regarding her money. I believe the network wanted to dig in Joyce's pay and use it for something else. They did it without consulting her and made no big deal about it but Joyce took action. So that's why she wasn't there for that episode!! She spoke about it when she was interviewed on Maury!! That was pretty messed up what they did to her and she stated that she was "emotionally sick and tired".

They made some form of agreement. She didn't make a detailed statement but she said that after that, she became "sick and tired" of being mistreated and didn't want that to happen again. So of course, it never did but then after Three's Company ended, that was why she took a 12 year hiatus. To get away from the brutality of Hollywood.
