If you've saw the original pilot, would you think the different actors/actresses they had, would you think the show would've lasted as long as it did?
Yeah, I know. My topics suck. lol

I only saw the original pilot once about 12 years ago. My nephew who was about 5 at the time was watching it and I walked in the room and the first thing I remember thinking was "Hey, that isn't the real Wally! That isn't the real Ward!"
I don't think the show would have lasted but you never know.

Something just doesn't gel together w/ different people. I'm a big Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. I saw the unaired pilot, it had a different actress playing the Willow character. Everybody else gelled together, but whenever the reg. actors had a scene with that different Willow, everything just fell apart. None of the characters were connecting with the Willow actress. Honestly, imo, if they hadn't replaced that actress with Alyson Hannigan, the show wouldn't of lasted as long as it did. jmo
And All in the Family could be another case. I bet if it had kept the original Mike and Gloria, it prob. wouldn't of lasted as long as it did, either.

I think that people get used to seeing certain actors in certain roles, and when they see something differnet, it throws them for a loop.
