View Full Version : Ken Corday? angel676 09-21-2003, 04:52 PM As of 2003, is it true that Ken Corday is a producer or executive producers for Passions? Does anyone know about this? I Dream of Jeannie 09-21-2003, 05:30 PM WOAH! I had no clue about that, oh gosh Corday BITES!! Poor Passions' fans. That man doesn't understand soaps at all. *shakes head* I hope this isn't true. angel676 09-21-2003, 05:39 PM I read that a couple of days ago at some website. I've been trying to remember which website, but it's not coming to me yet, so I wanted to ask around first and find out if anyone knew about this. Christopher 09-21-2003, 09:26 PM He is. http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0179407/ Now may I ask, is he the one ruining Passions or is that still JER? It's true, now why are Passions fans poor? What does this Ken guy do to soaps? I Dream of Jeannie 09-21-2003, 10:41 PM Corday is the source of problems at Days, he was behind Lanagan and Hackley, what more do I need to say that explains it all. He's terrible always has been. angel676 09-22-2003, 06:03 PM Why would Ken Corday be working on Passions? I'm starting to wonder about that man. Are Corday and Reilly in cohoots with each other with both soaps? Maybe Reilly thinks he can boost up ratings on Days and Corday thinks he can boost up ratings on Passions. I don't know what it is, but something smells fishy and I don't like it. In a way, I'm glad Reilly is trying to help boost the ratings, but I don't think Corday should help Passions. I realize that sounds hypocritical(sp), but just hear me out. Both soaps are on NBC, but because of that they are also compeititors, at least to a certain extent. Why would a producer or executive producer try and generate more fans to another soap opera, then rather to the soap that he/she is the producer of. This doesn't make any sense!! boechsner 09-25-2003, 12:16 AM I don't buy for a moment that Ken Corday is working at Passions. Personally, if I was him, I would slash my wrists first. Ken Corday is the son of Betty and ?(Jim) Corday. Betty and ?(her husband) created Days of Our Lives. When Betty died in 1986, Ken took over as executive producer. I certainly don't find him to be the source of any problems at Days. It's all the writers doing. When the writers suck, Corday cans them. Thus, Reilly came in 1993 thanks to Cordays doing. Thank god, Reilly is back at Days, the show has improved 100%, and the ratings are showing it. angel676 09-25-2003, 05:03 AM Originally posted by boechsner I certainly don't find him to be the source of any problems at Days. On the negative side, Reilly is also ruining Days by axing the veterans of Days of Our Lives. Reilly is taking a BIG chance with this storyline and the firings, it's a 50/50, it can go either way. Either it will improve Days or be the end of Days. I'm trying to be positive about this, I really am, but I don't want to see Days come to an end. Days of Our Lives has been a major part of my life for the past 9 or 10 years. Slowly but surely, I see Days coming to an end and it's breaking my heart, I don't want to see Days end like this. I can only hope and wish that this is the best for Days of Our Lives! |
