View Full Version : What's your stand on downloading? omalleyfan 09-21-2003, 02:21 PM what do you consider downloading? quietblues 09-21-2003, 02:27 PM downloading in my personal opinion, is great. and downloading is where you take music from various artists and copy them onto your comp. yeah.. well i think it's the best. i love burnin cd's. Josh9125 09-21-2003, 02:28 PM I don't care what anyone thinks...I download on kazaa all the time. That's one of the only things the computer is good for lol. quietblues 09-21-2003, 02:31 PM Originally posted by Josh9125 I don't care what anyone thinks...I download on kazaa all the time. If you want people to stop downloading then lower your damn CD prices. Christopher 09-21-2003, 04:30 PM IMO, downloading music is just like recording it off a radio station. omalleyfan 09-21-2003, 04:57 PM Originally posted by Christopher IMO, downloading music is just like recording it off a radio station. exactly. Back in the 1980's, we used to borrow each others tapes (remember those? lol) and copy them to blank tapes. The difference between copying tapes in 1985 and copying cd's in 2003 is WHAT??? Hollow 09-21-2003, 05:41 PM i'm kind of against it... i download songs until i get the cd. Mr. Stefani 09-21-2003, 07:01 PM I download..I only really buy the album if i really like the band and want to support them. robyrob 09-21-2003, 10:17 PM if i want the cd, i buy the cd, if they have one good song on a ridiculously overpriced cd, i download it and burn it onto a cd-r that I have already paid a tax to the RIAA on... actually they charge that tax on ALL my cd-r's, not just the few that i use for music... so screw them *Marilyn Monroe* 09-21-2003, 10:40 PM I think that downloading CD's is so aweseme. I see where they are coming from, but until I see some news show on how Britney Spears had to stop buying her $5,000 purses, because of d/ling, I'm gonna keep doing it. omalleyfan 09-22-2003, 03:02 AM Originally posted by *Marilyn Monroe* I think that downloading CD's is so aweseme. I agree, I have no "sorry" for downloading music from millionaires who have more money than I do even tho I have a job. The RIAA are greedy pigs Ian 09-22-2003, 03:21 AM *F* the RIAA!!:D Crimson and Clover 09-22-2003, 04:05 AM im not gonna stop unless they come to my house and make me. Unwanted Angel 09-22-2003, 04:12 AM um, free music. the RIAA can kiss my ass because i'll download all the songs i want to. wizard12 09-22-2003, 06:52 PM The last one... Mr. Television 09-22-2003, 07:09 PM Its no Different then taping songs off the radio and tv shows from the tv. I say downloading should be legal. musicradio77 09-22-2003, 09:31 PM I got back to Kazza Lite after dropping the lawsuit, Kazza did win. Truth 09-23-2003, 01:05 AM No matter how low CD Prices are... People will still download... Hollow 09-23-2003, 02:14 AM Originally posted by mr roper Its no Different then taping songs off the radio and tv shows from the tv. I say downloading should be legal. Actually it is... you don't have to buy anything from the people that made the show to watch tv, so you can't be stealing from them. Hollow 09-23-2003, 02:16 AM Originally posted by AAOT No matter how low CD Prices are... People will still download... Yeah, even if the cds are like $1 it's still more expensive than downloading. Truth 09-23-2003, 04:56 PM You can buy songs for 69 cents online.... and people are still doing it... omalleyfan 09-23-2003, 05:10 PM Originally posted by AAOT You can buy songs for 69 cents online.... and people are still doing it... 69 cents is too much tho. I say they should do a flat-monthly rate, like $25 a month or something. Granted, some people won't wanna pay $25 a month if they only download 2-3 songs a month. But $25 is fair for those of us who download a lot. 69 cents is too much for one song alone. omalleyfan 09-23-2003, 05:13 PM Originally posted by omalleyfan 69 cents is too much tho. And you're not getting any artwork or anything like that. Plus, all the songs they offer on Apple's I-Tunes are ones you can get the original full-length cd's for not much more, since it's most oldies in the public domain. Why pay 99 cents to download Baby Got Back (like in the Apple commercials) when you can get the entire Sir-Mix-A-Lot album for not much higher on ebay. RealOne Rhapsody, 9.95 a month, Can listen to unlimited songs, if you wanna burn em to a cd then I think 79cents each,.... Microprosa 02-04-2004, 03:32 AM I'm too cheap to buy songs. |
