We survived Isabel. What an experience that was. It started earlier in the day than was originally predicted and our power went off almost immediately, before she really got blowing. We were without power for 2 days. I have a friend a few miles up the road who will most likely be without power for several more days. We didn't suffer much damage, just a LOT of debris in our yard, tree limbs and the like. Some of our neighbors had trees fall on their homes. We feel very fortunate that we came away relatively unscathed. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I hope I don't have to go through anything like that again any time soon!!!

:D You made it! YAY! I'm glad everything is reletivly okay, but sorry for your neighbours. :( I can't imagine having a tree fall on my house.

 We're just happy you're back!

Hi Lolac,
That's great news! I was at a convention in Iowa with a friend of mine from Germantown, MD. He was very concerned much of the time about Isabel, but he was likewise fortunate. No damage.
Two days without power is no picnic, but it's preferable to what many suffered, I'm sure.

Lolac,

I'm glad you made it through ok. I've suffered thru a couple of hurricanes here in Florida. I'm in the Tampa Bay area, so we haven't been hit too hard in a while, but I know what they are like.

Glad you've got power back. It really is annoying when there's no power for long periods of time. And two days is a LONGGGGGGGGGG time!

Take care,
