Hey, what are your favorite movies?

umm, i like most comedys but here are some of my favs: something about mary, charlies angels, the sixth sense, miss congenality, parent trap*(gotta luv it...), and facts of life gose to paris!!!!

I just saw Miss Congeniality and I loved it! Even though it does make fun of twirlers in the beginning (I've been twirling for 13 years) My favorite movie is definatly "A League of Their own" I watch that movie ALL the time!

Hey, Spaceballs is funny! Blazing Saddles is ok too. I'm 21 by the way, Muppet Movie came out in '79.

Poison Ivy was a summer camp movie. It was sort of cheesy, but I loved it. Nancy played the camp nurse and MJF played a counselor who was in love with her. Nancy also had this nerd kid infatuated with her who kept trying to find ways to end up in the infirmary, at which point he rolled around in poison ivy. The rental place I used to get this from went out of business, I'm mad because when they closed they sold off all their inventory and I probably could've gotten it for like $3, after all, we did get Wayne's World for $5.

On my birthday a few years back, my aunt and uncle (also diehard yanks - even have a room in their house dedicated to baseball, namely the yanks) took me out all day for shopping, lunch and a game. The seats were on the first row near the first baseline (one of the best games i been too!) and since we fot there early, we watch them warming up and doing streches http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek.gif and anyway....Derek came to retrieva a ball that came near the wall.. He was a armslenght away from me - I swear, If I reached out I could have touched him!! (I was too much in awe to think of it at the time though - STUPID, STUPID ME!!!) I'm a Braves fan! I can't stand the Yanks or the Mets. Although I would love to go to a game at Yankee Stadium-that would be cool. Because not only am I a Braves fan I'm just a HUGE baseball fan in general. ks, you're going to be insanely jealous at this one, but my college team trains at the same place as the Braves in Disney World. We walk by their batting cages and stuff, and Tom Glavine even watched a few games in our tournament!

You've got to be kidding me! That is SO unfair! I'm hoping to go down to spring training and catch a few of their games this year. (fingers crossed) Do you play baseball? If so, which position?
I've only been to one Braves game and I've been to a spring training game once. It's just such a long drive! For Christmas though I got an official Maddux jersey, a Furcal and A. Jones picture, and alot of baseball history books. My friends call me a walking baseball encyclopedia! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Anyway, I think it's way cool you get to see them play and play in the same facilities as them!

P.S. My fav A.L. team is the A's! (I wish they woulda beat those dern Yanks!)

You really should go, it's a beautiful field and you'd of course be in DISNEY WORLD, so that's pretty good. And the games are relatively easy to get into also. I actually play softball, 3rd base.
And I'll also clarify that Tom Glavine only watched because his niece was on one of the teams. Hey, he was there, right?

As a die-hard L&S AND baseball fan, my favorite movie ever is A League of Their Own. I mean, how can I not love a movie directed by Penny Marshall and has Garry Marshall (creator of L&S, Walter Harvey in movie), Eddie Mekka (Carmine on L&S, in the movie he's Mae's Guy in Bar), David Lander (Squiggy on L&S, sports announcer in movie), Tracy Reiner (Penny's daughter, in a few episodes of L&S, plays Betty Spaghetti in movie), and Tom Hanks (great actor!) and is all about my favorite sport? I swear, I've seen the movie so many times I can recite it (well, I mean, I can say the words along with it). A few of my favorite movies are Dick, Clue, Tommy Boy, Grease (Grease 2 was such a horrible sequel. I mean, why do they bother to make sequels for classics?), and the Waterboy (Hey, it's got the Fonz. Good enough for me!)

I don't really like many current movies. I like Coyote Ugly, Centerstage and Miss Congeniality. I can't wait to see Hannibal. I tried to go this weekend, but they were sold out in a flash. Silence of the Lambs is another favorite..but it's a different kind of movie.

If I didn't see Anne, I never would have started writing fanfics, wouldn't have become best friends with Kenzie, and would have never seen FOL! I have Kevin Sullivan to thank!

You see, I have my own little 'classic' series of movies I grew up with... The Goonies, The Neverending Story(just the original!) the Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones, E.T., Adventures in Babysitting. Those were the greats...
But now, since I 've goten a bit older...The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Animal House, The Lost Boys, Stand by Me, etc.

Oh, and CLASSIC TV MAN, American History X was really good. Disturbing, but good.
X-Men was probably the best film I have seen recently. That and Gladiator...

Cokies, you just named like all of my favorite movies. I only know like 3 other people who watched Harry and the Hendersons, well I had it on tape when I was younger. And Adventures in Babysitting is SOOOOOOOO good. Anyway, I have a bunch of others, but I already posted them when we did this topic before.

Yea another Harry & the Hendersons person. Plus I like: Anne of G. Gables & Avonlea., The Green Mile, Flashdance, Footloose, any Disney movie, Top Gun, Danielle Steel movies, Sleepless in Seatle, You Got Mail, and (Back Home and a Friendship in Vienna that I'm still trying to find somewhere. Plus the 4 Parent Trap movies.

All of my favs are under BlairW_1's post! BTW, when we found out Megan Follows was on a show called 'The Facts of Life' we just kinda brushed it aside. Then, when N@N started publicity for the marathon, I thought the show sounded familiar so I started watching it and eventually got Danielle hooked. (breathe) But, I missed 'Jo's Cousin' the first time around so I was HIGHLY disappointed!

I love a lot of movies... but I'm wondering if anyone shares my love of:

Parent Trap II (this is NOT, and I repeat, NOT, the 1998 remake. I mean the 1986 one that airs on the Disney Channel "once in a blue moon" [as my Jo-lookalike English teacher says] and is about a girl named Nikki Ferris who meets a girl named Mary Grand in summer school just before Nikki moves to NYC to go to "a snobby, New York all girls school"), which I have on tape and I watch all the time so I know it by heart and I absolutely love it!!! And if anyone knows where you can find the opening song to it on Napster or on a CD, please tell me... my email address is included above my post... btw, the song is "let's keep what we've got, let's not let it go away... it's so beautiful it's like nothing else around think of what we've found and let's not lose it..."

Gosh. It's hard to decide on a favorite movie. I've seen a lot of good ones. One of my favorites would have to be The Princess Bride. (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called) It's really funny! I also like all of the Star Wars films. (The Empire Strikes Back is my fave) I loved the references to Return of the Jedi in FOL! Like in yesterday's episode when they said Nat brought at Return of the Jedi notebook to class...Okay, I'm done now. I'll shut up.

On my birthday a few years back, my aunt and uncle (also diehard yanks - even have a room in their house dedicated to baseball, namely the yanks) took me out all day for shopping, lunch and a game. I love Footloose!! I just saw it once but it's great!
